  • Cereals/granola are basically how I got myself fat. I told myself it was 'healthy' because that's always how it's advertised. But if you're doing Low Carb, there are so many better choices for breakfast. I love protein shakes (be sure to check the carb count), eggs and bacon, and yogurt. These are all things that will keep…
  • I'll start it off... Today I biked to Trader Joe's. My local TJ's is literally a 5 min bike ride (probably 20 min walk) from my front door so I actually ended up taking an extra long way to get there. I went for a 30 min bike ride first, then swung by TJ's, then biked home so I biked 35 mins when I could have only biked 10…
  • Yep, I feel the same way! They are great benefits. :)
  • Same. I buy laundry detergent like every 5 months and toilet and paper towels every 3-4 months.
  • Haha yes I'm only sticking to groceries for this challenge. Not gonna do my giant paper towel and toilet paper buyout on my bike or laundry detergent. I'd probably get into an accident trying to bike those home (I buy them in bulk for savings). :p
  • You look wonderful! Congrats!
  • I guess I should have prefaced that this challenge is mainly for people like me who CAN bike to stores, just have always felt too lazy to. :D
  • Nice :) I have 2 baskets on my bike, but sometimes it's still not enough! Haha.
  • A greek yogurt (plain) with a packet of sugar free Orange Crush powder. :#
  • The scale has stalled the last few days, but it's too be expected I guess after getting back from my vacation on Sunday. I've increased my exercise the past 2 days, taking bike rides. Hopefully that'll help the scale move again. :)
  • Thanks for the recommendation! Just watched it!
  • - Lose my double chin I've gained over the last year. - Look good in a bikini again (vanity!). - Feel totally 100% confident naked, and in general in my own skin. - Have more energy. - Not be a slave to food.
  • Gotta love the doubters... But to be fair, prior to really learning all about this diet/lifestyle, I wouldn't have believed it was healthy or manageable long term. It wasn't until I did a ton of research that I "got it". Society programs us otherwise so this WOE goes against most people's understanding of health.
  • I actually bought this and have been using it! Been using it for about 5 days though and I'm constipated. :( However for that time, I was away on a trip which for me always constipates me... Plus I ate some carbs on the trip. So I think I'm just in a weird spot and maybe in a few days it'll clear up?
  • I like how that guy was going on about how if you don't exercise, you don't need as many carbs... Hey buddy, psssstttt, you know you count as one of those people according to your logic, right?
  • Good for you for making a great choice! I made the mistake of ordering beef and broccoli when my work ordered take-out for all of us. I immediately got a headache! MSG was in there for sure. And I felt terrible the rest of the day. Eating Chinese is hard, but now I know for next time!
  • Full day back on the lifestyle after veering slightly off on my trip. Feeling great! This WOE was so easy for me to get back on after a few days of eating carbs.
  • Eat small meals more times a day. I eat 4-5 small meals a day which keeps me from never getting too hungry. The hunger is what causes 'cravings'. You need to keep one step ahead of the hunger, and eat filling, fibrous and protein-rich foods.

  • Thanks for the support! I know I could have fought it harder and not caved... But to be honest, I'm kind of glad I did cave! I didn't eat the carbs from a standpoint that I was craving them or wanting them. Don't get me wrong, things were tasty (especially dessert), but for the first time in my life I felt like I had some…
  • Just got back from my Disney World trip! Overall, I'm feeling ok with my choices. I did not stick to low carb while I was there, but I did try to stay as low carb as possible until dinnertime each day which is progress! The first meal out, the friend I was with put pressure on me to eat carbs. I know I could have just said…
  • Today was another good day and I stayed on track. Tomorrow I go away for 4 days to Disney World so this'll be a real test for me. I will start my day with a protein shake in the car (6.5 hr car ride) and I packed jerky too. I may 'treat myself' and stop at McDonalds for a Sausage McMuffin, hold the muffin (so just sausage…
  • Well since I'm already on day 11, I'll join in the challenge! :)

  • Checking in because I'm now down 10.8 lbs so far in just 9 days! :o When I checked the scale this morning (I'm checking every morning) I was down 1.2 lbs since yesterday morning. And I'm completely satisfied and full from my food, don't feel I'm depriving myself or being strict at all, and am enjoying the foods I'm eating.…

  • Checking in! Woke up this morning and was down a full pound from yesterday! Today was my best eating day yet on this lifestyle. I ended the day at 27g of carbs/17g net! My ratios today were 62% fat, 30% protein, 8% carbs. I'm feeling great and I'm enjoying experimenting with food. Tonight I had chicken with some Mexican…
  • I'm using the Sunwarrior Warrior Blend Vanilla. Since I get so much animal fat/protein from this WOE I decided to get a raw, plant-based protein to try to balance a bit.
  • I've been having a protein shake a day (sometimes 2) and it's working for me! Which protein powder are you using?
