  • As of today I've walked/little bit of jogging 13 miles in the past week and a half. One of those walks was 3.5 miles in one shot, the closest i have come yet to my goal of running a 5k. Also, I havn't looked at the scale in weeks and that in itself is a nsv

  • @jesiann2014 awww I like you too. I love hearing everyone's adventures, although @jeanniewes the idea of living on a quiet mountain sounds like heaven <3 7.14: 1 mile 7.16: 2.5 miles 7.17: 0.75 miles 7.18: 1.5 miles 7.19: 1.5 miles 7.20: 1 mile Total miles: 8.25/11.75 (all walking/lite jogging)

  • I've always been so jealous of runners. In the past I've done c25k and other programs to become a runner (or slow jogger if I'm honest) but I always did them in the evening because I was embarrassed about how out of shape I am. This week for the first time ever I've gone jogging in the middle of the day in full view of…
  • 7.14: 1 mile 7.16: 2.5 miles 7.17: 0.75 miles Success of the day: I was exhausted after work and dinner and could have passed out on the couch. Instead I got the whole family together and we went out for a walk. Low point of the day: 15 minutes into the walk my five year old lost it and had to be physically carried out of…
  • @jeanniewes and @jesiann2014 I was busy being grateful I kept pace with the pregnant lady who looked like she was due last month  And yes I'm looking forward to the day I can look back and see how much faster and stronger I have gotten.
  • Hello! Apparently July in the north east means heavy down pours so I didn't get out for a few days. But I went walking/jogging this morning and am so glad I did. True story - I was out walked by multiple grandparents with small children. They were very polite about it :) 7.14: 1 mile 7.16: 2.5 miles Total: 3.5/16.5
  • Hey everyone! All of the welcomes are so wonderful! 7.14: 1 mile walking/jogging Totals: 1/19 Even though I only got in a mile today it was the first time I've ever jogged outside during the day - I've always waited until the evening because I felt self-conscious about being so out of shape. It was such a small but…
  • Hey guys I'm late to the game but maybe I could join in for the second half of the month? I'm trying to change the way I see exercise from just a calorie burner (usually best used for justifying extra chocolate) to a daily and necessary part of my life to manage stress, non-weight health issues and occasionally get some…
  • I'm here to get healthier - more energy, decreased anxiety, stronger body. I am *not* here to become more beautiful. I'm already effing adorable  She is there as a sign of beauty at any size. You can argue with her health if you want to, but this should be seperate from your assessment of her ability to be seen as…
  • I've got a three year old and a five year old and am constantly reminding myself to not fall into the "snack - for - you - snack - for - me" habit. And I'm desperately trying to find more energy to keep up with them!
  • I realized that looking better isn't a good motivator for me - I struggled with my self esteem for a long time and as it got better I stopped feeling bad about my weight. The unintended consequence is that my weight went back up and I find I have to find new, longer lasting motivators. My new ones are: being a good role…
