It is great that it works for you. Kinda slow progress, don't you think? 8LB in 5 months? I just don't know if your "diet" is sustainable and successful. If so, more power to you. But why would you stop working out? I find it pleasure of coming home from a gym. Maybe you doing physical work for a living. But still... Don't…

I am 5'9". On 08/16/2012 I clocked 189LB. This was 61 LB loss in exactly 1 year. I started this "diet" at the age 49 with 254LBs weight and size 38 pants. On my 1 year weight loss anniversary I purchased size 32. I only bought one pair as I plan to get rid of another 10LB and get into the size 30. Meanwhile I raided my 24…

I workout 7 days per week. I update my diary every day, however recently I am helping family member and have not had an opportunity to update my stats every day. You can see my diary, both nutrition and exercise) since I joined August 11, 2011. . I do 1 hour of cardio, followed by weight lifting. (I usually combine pushing…

Yep. Agree with everyone here. Mine not only a desk job, but my job is working from home. Talking about having a pantry and fridge with food next to you. Not good :) But it is duable. You just have to adjust to the lifestyle. I chose to get workout in every single day. Because there will always be days where you can't make…

Since I am working from home, I actually was able to duplicate Sturbucks' tripple tall Americano with sugar-free vanilla flavor and 1 inch of steamed heavy whipping cream. This was a good thing to save $$.

Some people can not have caffeine for medical reasons. So, decaff would be good. But for someone who enjoys coffee - why would you? Drinking decaf is like smelling roses though a gas mask.

OK. I am about to open a can of whoopass with my comments. Bear with me... I always liked coffee. When employed by corporation, always couple of double espresso per day at the local Starbucks, in the morning and in the afternoon after my lunch. 3 years ago changed jobs and fortunately have a chance to work from my home…

Thanks to all of you for wonderful feedback. With numerous starts and stops over the years, this is the first time I WILL call my progress a success. Thanks again to all my MFPeeps!! If I can help 1 person with my story. There few days were I missed, but for the most part you can see my progress…

When my son pulled out several 32 size shorts to donate and I asked him if I could try. Then I told him "I will give you my 38 size shorts to donate, if I can have these" :)

In a given week, how many times to you make it to the gym? Have you ran reports against your workout and nutrition? It is also difficult to determine, as you don't record your diary everyday

Welcome!!! I told myself the same thing. The only difference was "50 before 50". So, this April when I turned 50, I did it. You will lose 50LBs this year and when you turn 41, you will be in perfect shape with a beautiful body. Right? They say life begins at 50. :)

You look fantastic. Congratulations!!!

Did you just steal my post? :) My 1 year anniversary is next week and if I had to post something in this forum, it would be exactly this. Congrats on progress. You look amazing!!

I want to add one more pointer to cardio workout. In the course of 1 year, I worked myself to a 60 minute Precor 465 elliptical session. I found myself unable to do any more exercises, as I was totally drenched and tired. I recently (2 months ago) changed my routine. by splitting cardio into 2 30-minute sessions. After…
