30DS was the first DVD I did after coming here. It was a great starter. After that I did Supreme 90. Spent $30 and got 4 months of workouts!

Weight loss lesson #1....the scale is a lying B!!!! I weigh but I also take measurements. There are a lot of posts out here about this topic. For cripes sake don't say a lb of fat is more than a lb of muscle or the posts will riot! lol Some people don't weigh at all. Some live by the scale. I do both, but really go by how…

Congrats...you look fabulous! And I love your stretch mark "i don't hate them. I just don't love them" mentality!!!

Said thread was under "legit" thread. Motivation & support.

Yup. Pretty much. Post a problem only to use it to mock the responses.
-
Not the intention of the post. But at least it was my post not a trolling expedition. Anyhoos if anyone would like support without games, feel free to add me.

I could care less about people being rude to me. Water off a ducks back. But I feel bad for those that are affected by people with fake problems for pure laughs. Not everyone here is equipped to handle being the butt of jokes. Maybe one of those that are sensitive will see this and realize that some of us are here to help.

If you are at 0 incline you are basically walking at a slight downhill. I always make sure that I'm at a minum of 2 to simulate flat ground. You can go up from there for challenges or to work out muscles a little different while you are on it.

I saw one just today that made me laugh... "Has anyone tried P90X?" BTW...how many calories did I burn just laughing about this? And if I drink 200 oz of water today will I flush my fat?

When I started here that was my first DVD. STICK WITH IT. Do each level for 10 days, then move on. While I can't say that I "shredded" lbs in the 30 days, what I did gain was ability and strength. Those first fews days were ROUGH. Day 1 killed me to do the arm circles to warm up the next day lol I think Day 2 I couldn't…

Do you have proof it doesn't? I know that when I cut out all soda, diet or regular I don't get the munchies or crave much if anything. I simply have natural hunger that is satisfied when I eat good food. If I good food but drink diet soda I find myself reaching for other things. I'm sure there are many people who aren't…

But you've LOST 68 lbs.....BRAVO! Those are 68 lbs inyour past. I remember starting and looking at the whole length of road. Now I look more at what I've left behind me.

Nope...I LOVE ice cream actually :)
-
@facingforty - You're addicting to working out 1) I play violin 2) I never trick or treated 3) I don't like ice cream

48 hours ago I hated the person I saw in the reflection. I had lost 42 and have gained back around 20 of it. Maybe more. For now I'm avoiding the scale and working on the mental game. And the mental game is probably the most important for success. But unfortunately, if you don't like the reflection in the mirror. There is…

I think if someone did a video montage of all his "advice" most of it would probably end up contradicting itself.
-
HAHAHAA!!!! Love it! I'd like to do that with a couple people I know.

Unless someone opened the can, and force fed it to you "ala beer bong style".....the choice was inevitably yours. ;-) I get it...I've been there and I've been the one that has gone to the fridge at work (it's free) and gotten oh too many of them. I'm EXACTLY like you. If I drink a soda I start a CRAVING FRENZY. So that's…

Exactly. I've done this before. I know I'll feel good very soon but wowsa, it's amazing how "out of shape" your body can feel after a break. Mental note....don't take breaks!!!!!

Thanks! But like the person above me said....some just can't think rationally. At least I don't have to worry about seeing them at my kids' functions. They refuse to go. Good luck with your step mom. My guess is that when things die down, she will move on to something else to be put out by.

I actually had that xmas show song "you put one foot in front of the other...." Seriously. Just start. It's THAT simple. I do intervals to start and build from there. I haven't ran for a while (tsk tsk) and today I just got right back on. Alternating run/walk. Eventually doing more run/jog than walk. C25K is good too if…

OMG yes you should. Everything about it is funny. Woody is awesome....one of my favorites of his. Every so often "rules" come up. 1) Cardio & Bill Murray has an AWESOME small part. Good stuff for laughs!

Some people love to play victim regardless. I kinda get the feeling that's part of it here. You get to be the bad guy for taking your child away from her. Now she can go sit in the corner and pout while everyone tells her "there there". If my adult kids move I will hate it, but people have to live their own lives. If mine…

Zombieland hands down. Double tap.

Personally, I don't even look at peoples food journals unless its for ideas of what to make or they are doing something different (spiking, IF etc) I have my food journal closed because I don't eat to a T. I allow myself choclates etc for me because frankly, if I didn't enjoy some of the "normal fun stuff", I'd never last.…

Ha! I just had this battle this am getting groceries. I normally don't use it on a lot if any. But I'm CRAVING tuna salad. And I struggled, left the area, came back. Finally I just got light. It's not like I eat it all the time. Once I have my tuna salad I'll be done with it.

Thanks for all the replies! I bit the bullet and ordered Pump. I figured I have 30 days to try it. I will know by then if its a good fit for me. I'm still interested in Combat but may add that later. I have a treadmill and like to run on that for added cardio so I'm thinking I will do pump with treadmill days in between.…
-
Yes it does. This is a new type of workout to me. I'm not sure if I want to do combat first for weight loss and pump after to strengthen muscle or both intermittenly. Thanks.
-
There are quite a few other posts about spiking. Basically it's upping calories for a small time. A lot of people say it helps with plateaus. It's about shaking up metabolism. If you do a search you should be able to find a lot of information.

Ok but how do the DVDs compare to the class and what is the makeup like? 800 reps of what? How is the workout structured? I know NOTHING about this guy or his format. Gyms around here don't offer them and I don't use the gyms around here.
