I eat them ALL and I upped my calories from 1200 to 1390 this past week and lost 2 lbs. I have been on here for 2.5 weeks and I have lost 6. Did your nutritionist mean net calories? My aunt is a dietitian and she includes exercise cals in her recommendations to clients...

I am the exact same way... protein is protein though. I try to eat meat a few times a week though as there are nutrients in meat you just can't get anywhere else (no matter what vegans will tell you! haha) I might suggest eggs as a good addition to the less meat lifestyle :) I remember reading on a journal somewhere about…

LOL so true!! Men don't do subtlety. Just goes over their heads! I sent my bf multiple websites with information on how to be supportive to a loved one losing weight. He isn't an auditory learner, so me explaining stuff to him was ineffective... After he read them and we talked about it, he got SO much better. That and the…

wow you look awesome! I just finished day 8 of the first round, but I am stoked for those results!!

Same problem. We had a lot of trouble with this! He is adorable, but knows nothing about dieting. He is skinny as a twig and really muscular due to genetics (his mom and brother are just like him)! So, we have a few things that have really helped: when he gets something naughty, he gets me the mini version or the…

:O you look so great!! keep it up ;)

If your vitamins are giving you a headache, you should switch! I looked at the vitamin you are taking and it has some possible headache inducers (like green tea extract). Keep in mind that you get a lot of water from what you eat every day (as long as you are eating veggies and fruits and such) so I think you should drink…

How much water are you drinking? If you drink too much, you could be flushing out vitamins/minerals that your body needs, making your skin dry. Yes, there is such a thing as too much water! hehe

Nuts! They are very high calorie and fantastic for you :)

I totally agree! People always ask me how I learned to cook so well... And I tell them my mom was in the military and my dad is a terrible cook! It was a necessity and practice makes better food :) At first, you are burning ramen noodles. Now I can whip up a meal with whatever I have on hand and my boyfriend goes :D :D :D…

I am doing the 30ds and I was only walking for about an hour a day before I started. I suggest using light weights in the beginning (I just used a can of beans which is usually ~16 oz or 1 lb). It's not too too hard, but it definitely makes you sweat!

This is a hard question to answer, as I eat every few hours but I also have what I consider "full" meals. Have you tried bulking up meals with veggies and beans? I love eggs with sauteed spinach (in a little garlic and lemon and cayenne and veggie broth!) and tomatoes. I love a lunch with spicy chicken, black beans, and a…

I think taking control of your health is remarkable at any weight. I find that many times if people take pride in something and they are insecure in general, then they tend to overcompensate and belittle others' accomplishments/goals. I work in the tech industry and this attitude is quite rampant in all areas of life. Why…

So, I am 5'9" and about 6 years ago I lost 45 lbs and was 140. This is in the "healthy" range for my bmi and a weight recommended by my doctor. Unfortunately, I was also tired all the time and in order to maintain that weight I had to eat less than 1200 a day (around 1100). I have since gained it all back (and more :P),…

You look so amazing! Great job! Great dress :)

I'm 5'9" and 203 lbs :) Though I have tiny pixie feet... they are smaller than my mom's and she is 5'6"! I wear 7.5 to 8. I also have a really long torso, so your problem with pants I have with shirts! I don't want my belly hanging out :( My torso is 4 inches longer than my bf's who is 6'! Bodies are weird. Nice to find a…

Hot! Great job!!

Things that got me through long hours in the computer labs in college: 1) babybel cheese 2) raw almonds (in 200-calorie bags) 3) fruit... bananas and grapes are the best as they are quiet (for eating during class haha) and travel-friendly 4) a really filling breakfast - Bob's Red Mill "Right Stuff" hot cereal and a fruit…

I can totally relate as I have an anxiety disorder. What works for me is therapy, right mix of meds/vitamins, and if I am in a real pinch... exercise! Nothing makes me unhungry like exercise. Weird but true. Go on a walk and breathe some air or take your stress out on a run. It's very cathartic and I find that it really,…

I say drink your diet coke! I personally don't due to the citric acid (my family has a history of enamel erosion AND I have GERD) and the aspartame (as it is a major trigger for migraines...). Like someone else said, we all react differently. There are studies out there that will tell you that eating grilled meat is going…

Wow that is totally different from Dance Central! It constantly calculates your calories... so you get points for freestyling before the routine starts and during the dance :) I can't recommend it enough though! SUCH a fun game to lose calories to :) Edit: and by points I mean calories. XD been a gamer too long...
-
I don't have that game, but I use the Dance Central workout mode and the calories MFP says for dancing almost always match what the game displays... I usually do what the game says though as it calculates your calories burned based on the amount of movement you do :)

Hang in there! Sometimes I get really down on myself too for no obvious reason. I attribute it to my period (bloating and grumpyness) and/or not getting enough B vitamins. If I don't get them, my brain goes T_T Feel better! You can do this!!
-
I'm on day 5 tomorrow! It is challenging, but totally doable :) feel free to friend me if you want some support!!
-
Haha I have totally done them in the past! He is just so happy about life. I love Richard :) I think he is the original Zumba!
-
You are one hot mama! Nice to meet another tall woman on here :) I am 5'9" and my GW is 160 ;) You should be so proud of your progress. WAY TO GO! :D

OMG YOU LOOK AMAZING! I want those results! haha I am on day 4 of the shred and I am so excited for the results! I am already smaller... not sure how that works, but I'll take it! Jillian is a harsh mistress, but B*tch gets RESULTS yo!

Ahhh! gross! This reminds me of when I looked on the back of the ketchup bottle... HFCS and sugar were the 2 ingredients next to water and vinegar! I switched to Trader Joe's all natural kind ASAP. No added sugar! And so much better. Who knew??

Yayyyy! New clothes! I am gonna start saving up my monies for pretty things ;D Thanks all! I am so stoked to wear my jacket tonight :)
