I am on day 4 of the shred :) It is actually very intense (you sweat buckets) but I am not as sore as I usually am after a workout, so I can do the shred every day. I recommend doing come extra leg stretches after you finish though, as I really need them haha! Seems pretty healthy to me!

I'm a big fan of buying local (so if you are buying a watermelon shipped to the US from China... woahhhh they can truck that from Mexico) but I think this is just another "China will be our doom" article and most produce from China is fine. Bunch of blown up drama (pun intended!). The solution? Buy organic! Then they use…

I'm a leaf on the wind T_T I bawled like a baby. I remember I saw it on opening night at midnight with a bunch of other browncoats... everyone was gasping and shouting "NOOOOOO!~" I still watch them though, even if my favorite character dies... That video is so hilarious! I would totally dump someone for not liking…

I'm 22, 5'8.5", and 203 lbs. I am looking to get down to around 160 and then re-evaluate. My goal is a net 1200 calories, and I burn somewhere between 200 and 500 calories a day. I have lost 4 lbs in 14 days! :) Interesting thread!

One time my landlord brought over a handyman to fix the tub in our rental. I left and came back several hours later and asked if he was still there. My roommate replied "He's been up there with his caulk all day!" it was a def lmao moment! There is also plenty of pho (pronounced "fuh" for the uninitiated hehe) places…

Interestingly, the human body can make saturated fat (from unsaturated fats) but it can't make unsaturated fats (well, it can make them from other unsaturated fats, but you need some to make some haha) so you really don't need the saturated fat. It's more of a limit than a recommended intake :)

No, calories are what really matter. Energy is energy, though it is a little more complicated. Fat is actually harder to break down than carbs so it's better to go over on fat than carbs (in my unprofessional opinion). Eat some protein and veggies to fill those 700 calories and you will be fine! plus 6 over really isn't a…

Totally understand! I really like almonds covered in super dark chocolate as my chocolate fix... They take longer to eat and are more filling than chocolate alone :)

Yeah, 24 is small! haha you are fine. As long as you aren't hungry/have a huge calorie deficit and are getting your period, you are a-okay! :) congrats on the great bod yo! Also, interesting factoid, my doctor has told me about the optimal waist/hip ratio and yours is super close! It is .7 and yours is 24/31=.77

Since you asked for an example of someone under the BMI scale, I have one friend who weighs 75 lbs and is 5'. She has a really small frame compared to me (I have wide hips and chest, hourglassish). She is a tiny beanpole with a waist of 17". However, she has a healthy BF %, gets her period regularly, and is constantly…

Well, just to put the BMI in perspective... I am technically "obese" according to BMI but I don't actually qualify according to my doc, as my body fat % isn't high enough, and according to my pant size (I'm a 12 US). My boyfriend, in contrast, has the same BMI as me but has 6% body fat. He is def not obese as he has skinny…

LOL I like to call this the "trader joe's" diet! for serious people. I used to have GERD real bad and now it is nonexistent due to changing my diet. This *kitten* werks.

the calorie count doesn't change - just the water content, as it boils off during cooking when you grill (which is why boiled chicken weighs the same as it did before). Make sure you use the appropriate category (raw/grilled) when logging the calories so you don't get "overcharged" when logging your calories :)

Corn tortillas pretty much never go bad... I would eat them! There isn't much for the mold to grow on... as long as the bad has been closed I say go for it!

I love Gin Rickeys! I have 2 in a night. I also drink a lot of Guinness. I usually have 1-2 in a night. I suggest any type of straight liquor mixed with a no-calorie mixer (and tonic water is not low calorie fyi haha) like diet pop or soda water.

You look so great! what amazing motivation :) you are a rock star!!

My favorite is: 45 g frozen raspberries/blackberries/blueberries 90 g frozen strawberries 1/2 c. plain Kefir (or plain greek yogurt) 1/2 c. diet ginger ale Calories | Carbs | Fat | Protein | Sodium | Fiber 107 | 20 | 2 | 4 | 53 | 4 It is a little tangy and a little sweet, not too cloying. Perfect for a morning on the go!

np, glad I could help :)

I suggest adding more fats and protein to your meals, along with fiber. It's amazing how much more full you will feel on a breakfast of apple + 1 oz cheese + greek yogurt than toast and jam :) I also regularly can't eat all of my food; it really does matter what you eat! If you need a suggestion of something to eat for…

You should try Kefir if you don't like the consistency of greek yogurt :) You can find it at most health food stores and some major groceries. It is also high in protein, low in fat and sugar, but is pretty runny (drinkable consistency). I love the plain kind because I can eat it sweet (with fruit in a smoothie) or savory…

I have done both and honestly I feel like calorie counting makes me more accountable for my choices. I lost weight on WW, but I wasn't eating healthfully and mindfully. I gamed the system to get the most food from my "points", which you definitely can't do when counting calories. Every bite matters here! To ensure you get…

I used to do the same thing! except with a huge pizza I split with my bf (as it was more "economical" to get a bigger size... :P) and the place we ordered from had handmade gelato sold by the pint. Yeah. None of it lasted very long XD

Yay! Congrats!

OMIGAD I was going to post about my obsession with cumbled brownies + crushed potato chips (eaten with a spoon!). haha glad to know I am not alone with this weird combo XD Edit: Oh and sausage patties topped with cream cheese. Yes. It is amazing. *drools*

These are so hilarious! I had to add my own: My grandmother is notorious for her second-hand, inappropriate gifts. She always "tries things out" to see what they are like before she sends it your way. Some gems have been: a $20 gift certificate with $15.03 on it, a bottle of lotion that was partially empty, a flier from…

I can't wait for a Kinect FPS game! Get your game on AND burn some calories. Shiny!
