I am thinking about going back to protein shakes for the majority of my meals as well. I don't mind the shakes, and I have learned to make some very interesting shakes since my VSG.

Yes, yes you are.... Oh wait..

Great responses, thank you. I speaking of a revision... meaning, to get it tightened up. There is a Rose procedure that can bring back the integrity of the original Sleeve. I am not convinced that I "need" it, as much as I "want" it. Mainly because I miss having restriction. Like Rachell, I find myself needing to go back…

Sent you a FR. It helps to have someone look over your food log. Lots of people told me (during my MANY stalls): - drink more water - take in more protein - add shakes back into my daily routine - exercise... even if just a little - of course... eat more... but c'mon how could I?!?! I tried though. - don't weigh too…

I was so scared to try new things once I hit the regular foods. I quickly became excited to see what I could eat and how much (ohhh some nasty lessons learned there...). It will smooth out soon. BTW I never lost my hunger sensation, as they promise. I really wish I did. But it just makes me work harder. Good Luck!

I get funny looks... a lot! I had it redone about 2 months post op but I have lost 50+ since then. Really could use a new pic. My passport photo is soooooooo old. I really doubt they would let me fly international on it hahaha! "This is not you?!?!" Yeah/// sigh.

YES! A million times yes! I wish I had worked out more the first year. I think that would have helped with the skin. But I am so happy. I look great with clothes on (LOVE SPANX hahah!). I would do it over again in a heartbeat :flowerforyou:

Really depends on the food and your Sleeve. I am 2 yrs out and some days I just can't tolerate much, while other days (don't be scared) I can eat almost anything (and lots of it!). Give it some time. Tomorrow could be a totally different story. Just try not to push your new tummy to the limits. Remember that portion…

We have a VSG group on here, with a lot of great threads to help, support and motivate you!! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/1052-vsgers

I did the DVD's but prefer the class. I didn't give up in the class. The other people motivate you to keep going. Even if you need to step back and sip some water or just breathe.... it beats being able to stop the DVD, sit on the couch and not get back up (Yeah, been there).

That is all the proof I need.

I was so tired for the first month that I took regular naps! I ended up bumping my protein up just a bit and trying to get down more water than suggested. Also, short walks helped to wake me up (temporarily) but I was able to build up to longer walks that really pumped me up. Your body has been through major surgery. It…

Date a insecure control freak for two months and ask if you should get married/move/have children or bang out 3 more dudes? Yeah, you are a keeper!

I feel this way at times as well. I thought it was more of a punishment to myself (self inflicted). I get myself so worked up/sad/anxious that I just do not want to eat. On a bad day, I just punish myself by not eating because of various reasons. It is an ED for me, but yours sounds more like nerves/anxiety. Tried therapy?

I am 2 years out (in June). I try to stay under 1500 Calories per day (not under 1200 though), <100 Carbs, >50g Protein... although I don't always stay within that goal. But you know what, I don't stress it. I know my daily diet is fluid and will fluctuate. I just try to not pig out or binge on high sugar/carb foods (even…

10 weeks post op? Are you eating regular solids? My snacks: - turkey bacon (YUM omg YUM) - jerky - boiled eggs - protein bars (there are some really good ones out there) and shakes - cheese cubes - cheese crisps - fudge bars (Ok no protein but really good to curb my sweet tooth) - nuts - peanut butter - tuna - diced boiled…

Great topic. I can't claim a spot on this list, but it definitely gives me hope that one day I will be able to!!! Congrats to you all. And thank you for the inspiration and hope!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I tend to be very tight-lipped about my exercise routine and eating plans. Why? Because people will give their opinions (good and bad) without realizing that it may be offensive. Years of people asking, "WOW, what are you doing to look so good?" and I learned to just say "Eh, new lifestyle". People don't like to hear about…

I love HungryGirl. The best thing I have learned from her was about "Food Swaps". Using lower calorie/fat/carb food items to replace the not-so-healthy normal ingredients in recipes. I    HG.

YES! I just recently found out that they add sugar to the rice. SMH. I love my sushi, but now it is a treat.

Treadmill, stationary bike, Elliptical: Sure I use my phone, maybe not for a full on conversation, but to text, read emails and listen to music (with buds) etc. Life doesn't stop for me just because I am at the gym.

Fruit juice. I know it should be implied, but I have friends that drink juice instead of soda and think they are making great changes.
-
Upset over 1 lb ?? Probably just water weight... or poo. Don't be so hard on yourself; you are doing great.
-
Think crunches on a stability ball... LOL Ok for real, turn the chair around (back of chair to the desk or wall) and try that.

Amazing pay off! You look amazing and deserve that string bikini!!!

Busy mom here too! The mornings are crazy in my house, so I try to prepare the night before. I wish I remembered to do a huge prep on Sunday nights like the other posters suggested. Sigh. Anyway, every morning it takes me about 5 mins to grab my breakfast and make lunch. (I do make the kids lunches the night before and try…

I bought Protein Hot Cocoa and Cappuccino to sip on in those first months post op. Also, sugar free chocolate/vanilla swirl pudding and SF fudge pops were my best friends LOL Try: http://www.mybariatricpantry.com
