Along with the shoes, try lifting your feet using your knees. When I first started running, I was lifting from the toes and my shins hurt. Now I focus on lifting with my knees and I don't have that pain anymore. Check out Chi running, good info on proper form while running. Enjoy! :c)

Love my BodyBugg! Have had it for over 8 month and still use it. I like gadgets and anything that keeps me accountable. Has helped me lose overr 60 lbs. since last February along with running. Don't like their food tracker, they want to you buy their supplements, but I use this site for food tracking and just put it all…

You are beautiful and those photos are a nice way to celebrate all your hard work. I love the one on the wooden bridge. I love photography also and had never thought of a photo shoot of me to celebrate, so thanks for the idea. Keep up the great work and thanks so much for sharing the photos.

I weigh in once a week and log it. I have been doing Monday morning for quite a while and think I might change to Tuesday so that I can have a day to adjust after the weekends. I see bigger improvements over a week instead of every day.

I love my Bugg also. I have had it since March and have lost 56 pounds since February using MFP and my Bodybugg. It holds me accountable for my actions and activity. I shoot for 2,200 burn a day and try to keep my calorie intake to 1,200 (or a bit more when I exercise hard that day). Only complaint is the food log, don't…

I tend to point with my index finger on my right hand and have a limp wrist on my left. Anything you do to keep your shoulders loose and not tense works. I have read to take two small twigs and hold them in your index and thumb with you run, that keeps good form and keeps your grip loose. I think it is funny that you…

You will do GREAT!! Some advice my friend gave me on my first 5K: Run your own race! Don't worry about anyone else but you and your pace. Good luck and have fun. You only have one "first 5K", enjoy it.

I am 180 lbs. and very active, and did Level 1 for the first time two days ago. My foot was hurting a bit, so took it a bit easy on jumping jacks. But, my Body Bugg said I burned 140 Calories. I have a friend that did Level 1, second time and her heart monitor said she burned 180 calories. She is around 130 lbs. Hope this…

Are you able to set your treadmill to your height, weight, gender and age? If not, your TM is probably set for a generic person, that might by why there is such a difference between the two computers. Maybe???????

Wet shirt, red face person here when I work out. I think it is great, I feel it is proof of a great workout. I was complaining to a trainer that I didn't like the fact that it took me so long after I was done to stop sweating and he let me know that it was a good thing. That my body is like a furnace and it was still…
