Great ideas, every little bit does count. For those wondering what people actually do when they're on conference calls...

Thanks Dave and Mimi! Appreciate the support and responses and thanks for the link.

Woohoo, great job! We're doing well, here's to week 2!

I did not have a weight loss this week. I've been on a plateau for about 6 weeks now, gaining and losing the same 3 pounds. Ok, I guess that's not really a plateau, there was a vacation in there with a small weight gain and then a 3 week plateau. This is the first time in 6 months that I have not consistently lost…

Awesome job! Sometimes it seems like cookies are everywhere!! With the holidays coming, they will be. Yum, I mean Yikes! :)

Yum, those combos sound good. On the workouts I've switched to morning the last few days and also started to just do something, ie walk, burpees, whatever if I have 10-15 minutes. My physcial activity calories were low this week so I have to pump it up! :)

I love crockpot meals! I usually buy the eatingwell magazine but never bothered to check their website! DOH! Great idea... On the roasted veggies - if you don't feel like making your own or you're crunched for time both Traders Joes and Costco sell frozen roasted veggies. Just watch the sauce and sodium levels if that's a…

Great job Dave. (yum, chocolate cake! ) I've done that too, where you forget to do your push ups and then "bam" you remember. I like the jumping jacks too. Or, how about jump rope? 200 singles or something?

 Yay! Great job on the push ups. You'll be doing a 100 regular push ups in no time. :)
-
Great job! Those push ups were a great challenge. How about situps or ab work? We can work up to a 60 sec Plank or 90 seconds, not sure what a good number is for everyone, but it will work your core!

Awesome, great work!

YAY! :)

Ugh, what a week this has been so far. My exercise everyday plan went out the window! I am completing the daily pushups. I noticed as the week goes one it's harder to do. :) Today I did 12 plank and 8 on my knees. In the back of my mind I'm always thinking, I have to do my pushups, I have to do my pushups. It helps having…

Great job, I find they get harder as the week goes on!

Haha, sorry Jay, yes, I guess I meant the other Jennifer, sorry Jennifer, hope it went well. :) Nice job on getting the workouts in. The HRM I have is the Polar FT4F. I love it and it's easy to use. Here's a link. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U0OFD2

No worries, it's a new week and we'll all help each other. Mandalicous mentioned an interview for you - good luck, impress them! :)

Yum, that sounds good. I've wanted to start a garden for the last year. I could probably grow something all year round with our temperate climate, but I'd have to grow in containers of some sort as we dont' have that much real yard/grass. When you have time to share let me know how you started and what you do for pest/weed…

YES!! 20 regular push ups!! Woot!
-
Same here. Great sources of Omega 3s - the ones you actually want to consume.
-
Just did my push ups, half plank style, half kneeling. My goal this week (besides the push ups) is to work out everyday with a calorie burn of at least 300, hopefully more.

That's a great idea!

Hi, Can you add one more highly motivated, positive, actively supportive of my mfp friends AND wants to be thinner for Thanksgiving, person to your group please? My name is Kelly and I’m married living in Southern California. I joined MFP almost 3 months ago and have lost 43 pounds since focusing on my health last…

Boondock Saints, Monsoon Wedding, Cube and Funny Games (not funny, it's very distrubing and stressful!)

I actually stumbled onto Paleo by accident almost a year ago because of what appeared to be an allergic reaction to grains/gluten, etc. For several weeks I cut all grains and in the process felt so much better and lost weight without really trying. Then for 6 months or so I went back to eating rice, pasta, breads, etc.…

I know what you mean, it's even more impossible to find ORGANIC, Greek yogurt, full fat. I've found Fage Classic at Whole Foods - they carry all 3 (0%, 2% and Classic) BTW - for those interested in organic, full fat, Greek yogurt Whole Foods sells a brand called EROS. Any others out there anyone knows about? You can also…

I've read French Women Don't Get Fat. Thought it was a great read, uplifting and humorous. I think it's worth reading, I think I read it on a 2 or 3 hour flight, having a glass of Champagne. :) My two take-aways from the book: 1) REALLY enjoy what you're eating and eat the best quality food you can afford. Have a love…
