  • I'm in agreement with Pisc and byHis. Personally, I'd prefer to exercise alone. I can pray or focus on a topic of my choosing. On the other hand, I'm not a tennis player, but I imagine it's hard to play tennis alone. My 2 cents.
  • Being in control of what I eat, instead of what I eat controlling me. Is one thing ok?
  • This sounds great. I'm going to try it.
  • I weigh myself everyday. It's rewarding. I think it helps me stay on track. If I overeat, I expect a gain. If not, I expect to not gain. Regardless of my expectations, sometimes my weight fluctuates. No biggie...one way or the other. God is faithful, even if I'm not. His grace is sufficient for me.
  • Beautiful! You and your work. Thanks for the pics.
  • Good Job!
  • That would be very hard to calculate. You're removing oil, so I'm sure there's a calorie loss. I'd be interested to hear what others have to say.
  • Wed 08/10/11 09:57 PM QUOTE: Dont where tight pants. Right??? This one seems painfully obvious to me! I've seen so many ladies out and about that could benefit from clothes that fit rather than squeeze. I'd rather LOOK slimmer in a larger size pants than walk around proudly in my smaller size (that no one can tell the size…
  • You go for it. You've been doing well. Keep it up. It's what you want. It's worth it!
  • Maybe this is when you should have your snack or dessert or just a little something.
  • Good victory and it wasn't something you worked hard to accomplish. It sounds like it just happened. I've often thought that eating in front of a mirror would be a good idea for me. Congratulations.
  • Nature's Plus - Adult's Chewable Apple Flavor, 2 tablets Nature's Plus Chewable - Nutrical Hearts Calcium, 4 tablets These make me fee like I am getting what I need everyday. I take the calcium for my osteoporosis. I've been taking these for years. I hardly every get sick. I carry them in a pocket and much on them…

  • Natural foods don't have to be time consuming and a pain in the neck. Buy some baby carrots. Eat them raw. Nuke 'em for a dinner veggie. Same with apples. I cut them into bite size pieces and microwave for a minute or two...tastes like apple pie, if you squint your eyes and mouth a bit. Some people put sweetener and…
  • You're welcome!
  • My weirdest is pumpkin. I open up a can, sweeten and spice it, and eat it. It fills me up. There's not a lot of calories. And the best part is...it grosses out my husband. HA HA!
  • I'm also a leftover eater. I just hate throwing food away. But I have tried to be more careful not to have leftovers and ... I have decided that I would rather have the food go to waste and not to my waist.:flowerforyou:
  • You might want to go shopping and try on some clothes. Don't you wear a size much smaller than when you began? It feels good, right? What size do you want to wear? Does your body fit the size you want yet? Go for it. You've come this far. Remember what motivated you in the beginning. You can do it! I can do all thing…
  • Maybe we should play Hide and Not Seek. My problem is I seek. L
  • There's a lot of factors that go into weight loss. Water is one. Maybe you're retaining water. Muscles are another. I heard that muscles weigh more than fat, but I'm not sure how that affects the scale. Have you been measuring? Sometimes you can lose inches instead. I do know that you must not let yourself get…
  • That's great. I was able to compare biceps with a couple of my students and came out quite favorably for an old woman. "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Phil 4: 13

  • "Fear not, for I am with you. I will strengthen you with My right hand." Is 41:10 God is good. L:bigsmile:
  • My experience is that the tummy and thighs are the last to show weight loss. Be patient. When the pounds go, the body will show the loss...eventually. Patience is the hardest part of the journey for me.:flowerforyou:
  • We all had to begin at the beginning. God takes us from where we are to where He wants us. It's a journey and every step is important. You are important to Him and He'll be with you every step of the way. Sometimes they are small steps and unfortunately even sometimes they are backward steps. Don't look at the successes of…

  • I did WW and lost 25 lbs in 1986. I even became a leader, but then I got busy, etc. and gained much of my weight back. The food diary was the most helpful thing for me. I can do that for free on MFP and there's a huge community to offer support whenever I go on line. It's been working for me. Welcombe.
  • I'd be happy to be your friend. You certainly have done well for yourself. You are an inspiration to me. I've lost and gained and lost and gained. My greatest fear is yoyo-ing. This time I want to lose and not gain. I've only been doing this for about a month. I can get busy sometimes, but I only have one other friend on…
  • Think about what you were thinking when you first got on the bandwagon. Be confident. You know how to lose weight. It's not painful and it's so rewarding. Go for it. Lori
