Hi. I'm Sharon. Starting weight 136, working to lose 1-5 pounds by New Years Day.
-
I would just count them all.

My loss has been like yours. I started in May and have lost 25 pounds. I'm just going to keep on the way I am. I figure success is success, even if it is slow and steady. I don't want to mess it up!

I wonder why I couldn't see that the first 12 times I scrolled down that page? lol -thanks. Funny thing is, I would have guessed them all about right.

Does it say somewhere how old they are??

Go do your workout! You will feel better afterwards, and feel great about yourself for doing it even without "motivation"! Just do it. Motivation not required.

Forum meet=ups are great fun! Go for it.

Boiled eggs are cheap, easy, fast, low-calorie and protein/nutrient dense.

Stretching good before bed helps me with sleep. I don't know why, other than stretching relaxes the muscles, but I have found that I sleep SO much better if I stretch right before bedtime. No other exercies, though - you don't want to get your heart rate up, you just want to get your body to relax.

Still 135 today. Sigh. One pound over what I wanted for today, but still........great challenge! It sure helped keep me focused! Are we supposed to measure today? I think I will.....

Cute!! Happy Thanksgiving!

It sounds like you are releasing toxins, which tend to come out through the skin. Unless you are constipated or there is some other way you are not getting rid of waste/toxins/CO2, it's probably a "good" side-effect of working out, and if so, it will clear as you continue. If you are constipated, it will often cause…

I have done this when I didn't have a bag or time to brine, and it works great!

I have a cheap Nesco that I use all the time. I've been drying herbs and veggies to make soup mixes for winter, and fruit for snacking.

Whine and dine. Let's just have pleasant conversation through dinner, please, or I may have to resort to wine and dine (alone!!) and I don't drink!

Way to go on being down 23 pounds!! You can do this - you ARE doing this!

If the weather cooperates, going for a walk with my youngest, and 2 exercise dvd's in the morning - dinner will be late afternoon, so I can be well prepared! I am also eating under goal by100-200 all week, to give myself extra wiggle room. I think I'll track my cals on Thursday, but being in charge of the menu is also…

There is a lot of hunting in WI, but I don't have a family member who hunts. However, in the spring, my girls and I "hunt" wild asparagus and various types of wild berries. We have a farmers market open from spring to fall and get all the fresh produce we can manage. Tomatoes are my first love in summer!

I steam it, and what we don't eat up, I throw on the dehydrator to store for later use.

Wisconsin: Whenever two trains meet at an intersection of said tracks, neither shall proceed until the other has.

We're in the home stretch, everyone!! How are you all doing with preparing for this week? I'm trying to get some extra exercise in most days, leaving myself a bit more of a deficit each day than normal, and am carefully planning Thursdays menu to be a treat but not a sabotage. Whew! I'm keeping my deficit to 100-200 under…

Yep, when it is dark so early, my energy lags so much! I'm trying hard to do at least a 20 minute workout dvd every day, but I really miss going out for some fresh air and sunshine!
-
I'm sorry!!! That's horrible. I agree - time for you to rest and recover.
-
Good for you. You ARE a whole, wonderful, worthwhile person, with or without a romantic involvement.
-
You did a three mile run in the rain, up a hill, pushing a jogger and hurt yourself......and you call THREE MILES RUNNING a fail? I'm not buying it. You are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
That is a HUGE success! I hope it helps to motivate you to keep going. I know the struggles of keeping at it after so long...but I'm making myself keep at it until my motivation comes back to make it fun again! I think when people are talking about New Years resolutions and I don't have to worry about starting a diet will…

I frequently mix part of an exercise dvd with a different exercise - usually going for a walk or using my hula hoop. I've lost steadily and love the results in the mirror. I've heard "the most effective exercise is the one you DO", and think that is the real key. There is no "one size fits all" weight loss program.

Just finished my cup of Yogi Skin Detox tea - it has rose in it. I love a bunch of them, especially Twinings and Stash. And Celestial Seasonings and even Lipton's peppermint. Then there is the rosehip/hibiscus........ Yeah. I'm a tea drinker!

Is what you are doing working? Your ticker shows a good loss, so it appears your diet is fine. If it works and you enjoy it and it's convenient within your family situation, there is no reason to change it.
