Try to focus on adding more healthy foods to your diet - baby carrots and sugar snap peas make great snacks, especially if you're an emotional eater, and not always hungry when you're eating. Brown rice is the most nutritious I've found. And it's microwaveable. Put 1 cup of dry brown rice and 2 and 2/3 cups water in a bowl. Microwave on high for 10 minutes. Start buying some baby carrots. At first, you may not think they taste great, but they ARE very filling, and in time, believe or not, you'll come to crave them! Good luck, and glad you joined MFP!

Please don't worry about minor fluctuations--and a pound or two is going to be a minor fluctuation. Fluid retention does have a lot to do with it.
