Monitor how much sodium you're eating, too. If your junk food includes salty things like chips or pretzels, it's going to be difficult to lose weight. Good luck to you! I'm sure you'll start losing soon!:flowerforyou:

Exercise is important, but don't overdo it--keep it fun for yourself. And watch the sodium in your diet. Please don't be hard on yourself--we all have bad weeks occasionally. Just know that you are a very strong person who was following a healthy diet for a while and can do it again, one step at a time. You've done the…

Please, please, please see a doctor to help you with your weight loss. We want to see many more posts from you, and I'm afraid you'll get sick from eating way too little. Take good care of yourself--you deserve the best, healthiest body possible.

So glad you're here! Keep focusing on healthy choices for your food and exercise, and the weight loss will follow. And congratulations on losing 17 pounds already! You sound very motivated!

Kale smoothie - 1 cup soy milk, 1 cup raw kale, 1/2 tsp cinnamon - blend in blender. (Takes a while for kale to chop finely.) Then add in 1 chopped, frozen banana, and blend again. For an extra treat, sometimes I put in 1 tablespoon of Hershey's dark cocoa powder. Makes enough for two small servings, so you might need to…

Glad you're here! I'm veggie too (vegan). You'll probably need to watch your sodium intake. But if you're already vegetarian, you've made a giant step to improving your health. Congratulations!

I admire what you said - seeing a plan all the way through IS a victory, whether you achieve the goal or mini-goal during that time or not!

That's fantastic! Congratulations on reaching a new milestone!

We all have ups and downs--it would be great if this journey was a straight line, but it's not! Just acknowledging that you need to get back on track goes a long way! I'll know you'll be doing both workouts tomorrow, and eating healthy again! :flowerforyou:

I'm glad you're back again! As mothers and wives, we tend to put others first. But you have to put your health first so you can be the best you possibly can for your child and your husband. Focus on eating healthy foods and getting some exercise every day. The weight loss will follow. You're young, and you will be…

I think Paula is right about the elliptical. I had some minor difficulty using the machine at first with my knees, but the thigh and calf muscles built up eventually and it got much easier. Good luck to you!

Have a great ride!

You have already done the absolute right thing by sharing your story, your ups and your downs. Your picture is beautiful and I think it will help to focus on the fact that when you eat right and exercise, you are doing fantastic things for your health. The weight loss will follow eventually, But the number one thing is…

Great for you, mine went down too! The blood pressure number is probably even more important than the weight! :glasses:

Good morning, and thanks for sharing your frustrations, because I had a very frustrating YEAR before I started losing any weight. Congratulate yourself on the fact that you're probably eating much more healthily than before, and probably exercising more than before. These unexplained plateaus happen to all of us.
