  • People who haven't had surgery, always have the most to say about how it's a failure. SMH But back to the OP, I've lost almost all my goal weight, I'm currently working on what I want to do with my body now. I'm working out and lifting. Trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
  • I'm a Bride too!!!! March 2017! would love some friendly support to keep going!
  • i eat 1200-1400 a day and do a 40/40/20 split and i'm comfortable at that level and I've lost a bunch of weight and maintained for 3 years.
  • what made you go to Ketosis? That's a tough diet for a lazy dieter. I did ketosis and had urine strips to see if i entered ketosis and was neurotic about tracking fat/protein/carbs/calories. I'm also a fellow bride :) i gave myself till March 2017 though and bought the size i was at the time. i'm already down a size since…
  • I've lost 110 lbs and I love paleo. I started out doing the autoimmune paleo until i got to the point where i knew what foods were causing inflammation in my gut and cut those out so I feel so much better now than ever. It's also easier for me to follow it when I'm out in public because I know the rules.
  • I've been paleo for about a year and I'm a big fan. My fiancé and I just look for recipes on the internet but my favorite is zucchini tots and pulled pork with mango salsa and the burgers the man makes...so good. :)
  • Once a week is a treat, like I said. My diet has also been successful for 3 years so to each their own. To make it cut and dry, is it healthier to eat a 1,000 calories a pizza every day or Fruits and Veggies and Meats, ect. That was more the point. Your normal diet would generally mean daily diet. I still agree with Buddha…
  • I'm saying that having that once a month or as a treat isn't bad but working it into your normal diet is not healthy. Pretty sure I did not say never eating those things again was part of the process. Avoid and resist is what everyone struggles with. We all cave and have cheat days or whatever...that should go without…
  • I agree with you Beardy - I've lost 120 lbs and I'm working on getting down more. Sugar is the enemy and if anyone wants to be truly healthy, you do not eat fast food or garbage food. Just because you can lose weight eating crappy food, doesn't mean you should...
  • I have MFP linked to Acheivement and Pact and DietBet to build accountability and pay for bets to lose weight or get money for tracking and working out and weighing in. I do best when monetarily motivated lol
  • nothing wrong with restarting! just don't quit restarting :)
  • i'm in :) i'm doing DietBet and have lost 7 of my 8.8 so far! i'm aiming for a 10% weight reduction by June! :)
  • you could ruin your metabolism dropping that low for a consistent amount of time....i would suggest a nutritionist...
  • There are many factors that can effect your skin...eating/drinking habits, genetics, age, height to weight ratio, how fast you lose and how much. I lost 130 lbs and you can't really tell I have loose skin (but I'm also 6' tall). Or your other option is to not lose weight. Unless you have a drastic height to weight ration…
  • I don't mind being held responsible for my weight. But anyone who dishes it out better be prepared to take it back and better be the example of a perfect dieter themselves. Otherwise...game on.
  • I am a gastric bypass survivor. I would rather have a chance to be thin and healthy and relearn my bad habits (like I am doing now and will do for the rest of my life) and have a chance at a longer life than continue to be obese. I was thin when I was in high school, then I became morbidly obese in the years after and was…
  • For me personally, the negative reinforcement aspect has helped me change my eating habits. The whole question of "could I have done this alone" to me is simple. If I could have, I would have. I couldn't so here I am. The negative reinforcement for me was eating something bad and feeling like complete *kitten* and barfing…
  • I think that I would spend more time with my therapist discussing food addiction and how to get past it. I am almost 2 years out and I still struggle with addiction. I do see my therapist now but not as often as I would like...I should have been more proactive than reactive. I'm still losing, slowly now, but still dropping…
  • great cheek bones, pretty eyes, nice hair...you are a lucky lady to have such a beautiful face! Very classic looks.
  • I believe that you are the only person who has to live with your body so be proud of what you have. With being overweight, many people have problems with depression and if they love themselves then maybe they will be able to drop a couple pounds. So be fat and happy. I wasn't able to be but they should be happy because…
  • I smile and tell anyone who thinks my goals are to low...that i loved the Heroin Chic look of the late 90's and i'm working towards that. They can suck it.
  • I've had friends and co-workers do this to me. Most recently during a lunch meeting, 2 of them were 'yum yum/nomnom'-ing on some chocolate cake that I wasn't eatting and they were doing it specifically to taunt me. So I just said, "do you realize how foolish you look for shoving cake into your mouth while I'm continuing to…
  • ^^^ LOVE THIS!!! totally doing this with my salad dressing! I hope it burns their face off!!!
  • some days are better than others...some days i see the girl with a sexy body and nice curves that I've been working for (my booty for one!) and other days i just see that i need to lose 30 lbs and will i ever have a flat stomach without flexing and i hate my arms....It's just a matter of keeping strong and determined...we…
  • that was a great article! congratulations!
  • always looking for active fitness friends too!
  • Hey you can do it! Every journey is different and it will not be easy. You will want to quit ,self sabotage and fight yourself, but if you stick with it...pretty soon all that will go away and you will start to love yourself, love your fitness and drive for more. Just stick with it :) it's worth it!
  • Nope - having separate beds is awesome.
  • I like this post....atleast the half way down that i looked...lol
  • if its on the internet, it must be 100% true. i wear running shorts and tanks every day to PF and its never a problem and everyone is nice and friendly to me and i treat them with the same respect back. I also use their free weights and do my lifting program just fine. going on my 2nd year and still losing weight and…
