  • oh wow Lacey, that little debbie sounded like my flirtation with swiss rolls. Nom nom nom nom... Wish I could have one, know that I can't. sigh.... I know how hard it is to put them aside. But, like you, I've found stuff like that now tastes kind of "off" if you know what I mean? I've been sick most of last week and this…
  • If you are going to cut out table salt then make sure you do something to replace your electroytes since you run. Maybe gatorade? NOT diet either!
  • I'm with you guys!! can't count the number of times I was losing slowly only to give up and looking back, I could kick myself. My goal now is to lose 1/2 lb a week. I've lost more than that some weeks but I've always lost at LEAST that so I'm content. If I plateau. I'll wait it out. I know I'll start to lose again and I…
  • Your body has a weight it's comfortable at so you have to trick it into thinking it's not so comfortable. I'm so used to plateaus but they do pass. Just stick with it. You have to keep the food under control though. It doesn't matter how much you work out if you keep eating all the wrong foods. Chin up! You can do this.
  • dropped another pound so I'm happy. Hope you all have a good week!

  • Hi everyone, kinda frustrating week but still when I weighed in at work I was down nearly 2 more lbs so I must be doing something right, right? For some reason today I want to snack all day. I only have 100 cal snacks around but still... empty calories are empty calories.. I'll get it together. Talking ( writing?) about it…
  • Pinbotchick, if you guys have 2 cars, drive one to your mom's and drop it off, have your lovely DH pick you up then go back home, park and walk to mom's. 12 miles is a bit much for someone just starting out. I klnwo it seems like a bit of work but it's surely less than walking 12 miles!!!! Best of luck!
  • I did ww 2 years ago and lost 30 lbs, 10 in the first 7 days but I couldn't stick with it. This gives me far more calories a day and I'm steadily losing weight. I'm trying to hit my calorie goal each day and sometimes it's hard! Love MFP!!!
  • I was never overweight until I hit my 40s then I blew up! Back when I was thin I always thought I looked fat, now I AM fat and I look in the mirror and think I look great. But heaven help me when one of my friends takes a picture of me, it looks like they moved a sofa in the room and dressed it in my clothes. YIKES! The…
  • I'm slipping out early as well Weighed in yesterday and I am down to 239.8. Another 4 lbs lost woo hoo!!! Not the same as what I weigh at home but that's okay,. I can live with it. Everyone have a happy holiday!!!
  • Don't pay attention to the bit at the bottom. It's important you meet your calorie points and make sure you enter any exersize since it will change the numbers of calories you can have. IF you consistently under-eat your metabolism will slow down and you will stop losing weight. It may take longer but it will be worth it…
  • Actually I have a friend that had a tiny waste, and upper body but her hips and thighs looked like they belonged on someone else and that someone else was huge. She ran 5 miles every morning and lifted weights every other day and her body stayed the same until she started training for a marathon. She hired a trainer and…
  • PLEASE cheer against Dook! I am a tarheel fan as well and it's painful indeed to watch the evil empire take back the title!!!! lol!

  • I'm in. thanks!
  • THe author read an excerpt on it on NPR, I listened as I drove in to work He says if it comes FROM a plant, eat it, if it's made IN a plant, don't eat it. I may have switched a word or two but I believe that's pretty close. I heard this the week before I started the diet and decided to stick with what he says so no more…
  • Sweet tea was my failing and now I've been drinking tea either unsweetened or with one pack of splenda to a glass for about 3 weeks. When I poured a glass of the sweet tea from my husbands jug, it tasted terrible!! I was thrilled!
  • Checking in at 243 down .8 lbs. Not as much as I hoped but better than a month ago when I was still 251! :ohwell: Yard work al weekend so I should sweat off some of this oh so lovely winter fat that's been keeping me nice and toasty all through the cold harsh ( for the south) days of winter. Hope everyone's had a good…
  • Yes please, Louis!!! I would love that recipe! Laura
  • Ya know, I have to say, I disagree with just about everyone's post this time and usually I don't! Go have a blast girl, enjoy the night, celebrate your friend and don't worry about the calories for ONE MEAL. That's all it is. No wonder so many of us fall off the wagon. It's this kind of " I can't have this...EVER" belief…
  • Absolutely! Black cherry is my favorite! I love their Mousse ( sp?) temptations too! Yummers and only 60 calories!
  • I tend to go over mine as well but then I eat either eggs, meat or beans ( and sometimes all three) mose days so it's hard to stay under adn I stopped trying after the first day. Protein is good for you when you are trying to lose weight.
  • Girl, you are singing to the choir with this post!!! I have noticed over the last year how MANY things are listed as being 230 or 200 lb weight limit and it completely freaks me out. Almost all my firends are small and when we go out I'm trying to surreptiously check weight limits of things ( hammock, beach chairs, golf…
  • I hit enter before I was finished SORREEEEEE. Dixiegal, I realy like the way you worded this : "if i let this revelation defeat me and i give up just because i got a little off track, then i have let my weight win" It is exactly what has tripped me up in the past and my weight has indeed won. Thanks so much!
  • Dixiegal, if i let this revelation defeat me and i give up just because i got a little off track, then i have let my weight win
  • Been there, done that and OWN the video! You'll do it this time, everyone here's so supportive that you can't help but feel good about yourself even when you slack off a bit. Holler when you're feeling low!!
  • Pinbotchick wrote: Great job llydon on a five pound loss!!!! Can you give me a number as well for the chart? I started week before last at 251.? and was weighed in at 243.8 on Friday. That's my weigh in day at work where I am competing in our version of the Biggest Loser. My ultimate goal is 150 but I'm taking my time,…
  • Fri 03/19/10 06:27 PM Great week for me, lost 5. 2 lbs, woo hoo. Work was a pressure cooker all week long and that's where I get out of control but I managed pretty well this week. I stayed out of offices where I know they keep the good food and kept my door locked most of the week, lol!!! They must think I've lost my…
