  • Yeah I bought a 5 pack of tests a while back for like $17 I think and it lasted me for probably 6 months or so. I recently paid $4 a piece for two from the dollar store, and I've got one left upstairs for next weekend. However I found out that another store near me has them for $1. And I've heard that sometimes the cheapy…
  • I've had 4 people join, anyone else interested?
  • Hi Seraaa! Glad to see you here. I also thought I was alone in ttc while trying to lose weight. It may not make sense to others, but it does to me. I'm trying to get pregnant, but while I'm waiting for it to happen, I don't see why I can't try and lose the weight so once I do conceive that I'm at least a little lighter!…
  • I HAVE CREATED A NEW GROUP!!!! It's mainly for those of you trying to conceive AND trying to lose weight at the SAME time. Not neccessarily for those of you trying to lose weight to get pregnant in the FUTURE. But you're welcome to join anyways. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/4770-losing-weight-ttc-together Copy…
  • I agree on making a group, I think that would be awesome! But hello! I'm Shannon, 23, been off my birth control for a year and 4 days to be exact, been TTC since middle of June last year, with no luck yet, but I'm crossing my fingers that since I've passed the year mark of being off my pills that it's almost time! Since…
  • Anyone also watched Trading Spouses? I like that one too, but not as much. They only trade for one week and it's a two hour show, and they don't usually switch rules. They are definitely mostly more normal families on there though.
  • Nope, I remember seeing at least one couple who was not married, however on the update they said they had finally gotten married.
  • Wow, that's.... interesting. I guess you always think a reality show is actually a reality, when in fact, sometimes it's scripted or faked! Haha.
  • I've never seen that one!!! I'll have to keep an eye out for it sometime.
  • Hmm, I've never really felt any of them were scripted other than the reading of the rule changes, but I always thought that was because they wrote them out and okayed them with the crew and such.
  • There was at least one or two episodes where they swapped husbands rather than wives!
  • I know! In a lot of the episodes, they seem to even each other out. From one extreme to the other that swaps, they kind of level out. As in a filthy house versus a clean freak, usually ends up that the clean freak cools it down a little, and the filthy house cleans up more. It seems to make good changes in certain families.
  • Well as someone who has seen just about every episode, yes I don't think every family is extreme. Lots of them yes, but all of them, no. I worry about you if you come to a forum to judge people on the television they watch. What I watch on tv, doesn't define who I am in anyway. I'm happy, healthy, and successful with a…
  • Exactly! I think the same thing! They knew what they were getting into! Just suck it up for a week is what I say. But they wouldn't have a show if all went well! Haha.
  • I don't think they always find the most craziest out there people, because I've seen a lot of normal families. They just seem to choose complete opposites for shows. Overweight family with a competitive eater versus a healthy family with a boxing mom, religious versus atheist, stay at home moms versus working moms,…
  • I haven't seen it on in quite a long time, but it used to be on. It was like fresh unpasteurized milk and just looks chunky. They would eat raw chicken, drink raw eggs, never cooked anything, not even on a stove (because it could cause cancer). Yet they looked SOOO sickly and pale. It was just an interesting episode to see…
  • I think my most memorable episode that I could watch over and over and over again because it's so crazy is the one with the family that eats all raw food and wakes up in the middle of the night to drink the chunky milk too.
  • Yep a reality show.
  • It did, but there's reruns on ALL the time!
  • I like seeing the different variety of people and the way people live. I love reality shows. And I like the drama too. I think if they got along, it wouldn't be as entertaining.
  • Love the show!!!! Wish they still had new ones coming out! I've seen just about every episode!! More than once!!!
  • Got engaged at 18 years old. The guy was also 18. Had been together for 8 months and 2 days before getting engaged. Got married at age 19. He was also 19. Yes we are still together, together for 5 years and (almost) 10 months, married for 4 years and close to 5 months.
  • My own creation, a breaded tilapia, SO DELICIOUS! http://shannonsweightlossforlife.blogspot.com/2011/11/breaded-tilapia-recipe.html
  • 1. Do you experience a lot of stress-producing thoughts when attempting to sleep, such as things to do or upcoming exams, that prevents you from falling asleep quicker? _X_Yes __No 2. On an average night, how easy is it to fall asleep? _X_Pretty easy __ Not easy 3. About how many hours of sleep do you get each night? __…
  • Oh, forgot to mention, the only negative side effect I've noticed after going off the pills, is that I did not have a period after stopping them for about 5 months. Then it seems to have not stopped the past 2 months. I spot (lightly) for a week, then stop for a week, then spot for a week, off for a week, etc. I'm just…
  • Figured I would add my two cents in and experience. I was on the BCP for probably more than 4 years. Over those 4 years I gained like 80 pounds, got high blood pressure (whether from the pill or weight gain, I still blame it on the pill), and my sex drive slowly just pretty much completely disappeared. I know the pill was…
  • Well I've had problems with the physical parts of the challenge this week, but the 10 glasses of water has helped me EXTREMELY this week. I had gained 3.8 pounds over the weekend, between saturday morning and monday morning. From monday morning to friday morning (today) I lose the 3.8 pounds, plus an extra 2.2 pounds!…
  • Well I can go to the gym, but not everyday. I was hoping for something simple I could do at home to keep up with the challenge without having to go to the gym everyday. But I have nothing like that at home. Maybe I'll just have to do my best on this challenge and substitute some sort of extra cardio, like more extra…
  • Okay, team members, I need some help. I'm good with the water part of this weeks challenge, it's not too hard. I can even handle the jumping jacks. I'm struggling with the stairs. I'm a little behind on all my parts of the challenge, but I've completed 3 days worth. I have bad knees and the stairs are killing me. Day one…
