I've been eating clean for almost 8 years now. I started it when I got pregnant with my first daughter. At my heaviest I was 240 pounds....by the time I got pregnant with my first I was down to 140 already, but it was a constant battle with what to eat. Should I eat low fat? watch calories? do low carb? atkins? south…

My husband was a paramedic for 17 years working the overnights in NYC (now he is a nurse in the emergency room still working night shift) and since we started dating 13 years ago I'd pack food for him so he could have something every few hours. I'd put it into a cooler bag so that food wouldnt go bad. Food also had to be…

I don't do a low carb high protein diet but I just wanted to comment on the whey protein. I have a difficult time with protein powders but found that hydrolyzed whey protein isn't an issue for me. GOOD LUCK!!! Oh and there are also vegan protein powders out there that you may want to check out :-)

Kashi Go Lean Fiber One I'm pretty boring LOL

CONGRATS!! I'm love the Brooks Adrenaline line. I started with Brooks Adrenaline GTS 5 and am now wearing the GTS 11. I've tried on others over the years but always come back to Brooks.... Until I find something that works better I'll stick with them....

Keep them coming folks!! These are some great ideas!! I already do the Trader Joe's seaweed and I buy Blue Diamond Lightly salted Almond Rice crackers (and I get to eat them when my daughter hasn't munched them all LOL)....but that gets boring pretty quick. A friend at the gym suggested I try dry oven roasting canned…

YEP! I take LoEstrin 24 and when I'm on it I lose less than half a pound a week (typically .2-.4)...then the 4 days i'm off I lose 3 pounds. Basically it averages to a pound a week which is about what I am set up to lose. And no....its not water weight that I lose because those pounds don't come back. And while most women…

Double and triple cream kinds of cheese. Most are around 100 calories and 12 grams of fat PER OUNCE. I can easily put away half a pound of cheese per sitting. So this is something I can only indulge in once in a while

Heard alot of hype about it from a bunch of ladies who were reading it....found out it has porn like situations and apparently my cousin says that the stuff that I read is much raunchier than this series. So i'm skipping it LOL

The Prodigy--The Fat of the Land album is awesome for killer cardio work Black Eyed Peas - Pump It Billy Joel - We Didn't Start the Fire And when I want steady rate cardio I listen to the hubby's Army cadences.... nothing like a drill sergeant screaming at you to put a little pep in your step :-)

QUEST BARS all the way!!! Used to have to buy them directly from them and then I found a store in the area that carried them and now I think they started to carry them at Vitamin Shoppe. Apple Pie flavor rocks!! Just had one this afternoon!!!

I make turkey "cupcakes" for my daughter. I then make either mashed sweet potatoes or regular mashed potatoes and place in mini ziplock bags so she can pipe the "frosting" on herself. We then make veggies (corn, peas, diced tri color peppers etc) so she can decorate her cupcake. Make dinner fun and a guarantee that she…

I'm 4'11.5 and currently weigh 125.6 Starting weight was 240 (before kids and MFP)...yes you read that right, 240! Trying to get down to 105.... OMG! People of 'average' height have no idea how difficult it is for us 'fun sized' folks. I can eat a super salty meal and the next morning I can't button my jeans because I put…

I have the FitBit and while its decent for steady rate cardio (treadmill or elliptical) it doesn't do heart rate. I am actually looking to upgrade to a HRM since my fitbit doesnt 'read' several machines that I use (AMT machine and Stepmill) nor does it adjust during weight training.

I've had one for about 15 months....love that MFP now has it so that it syncs with the FitBit site. Eventually I'll upgrade to a good HRM...but for $100 you cant go wrong with a Fitbit.
