  • That's super awesome. I hope you feel fantastic and I'm grateful for your words "be kind to yourself on your journey"
  • Fitness Blender, http://www.fitnessblender.com/ (also on YouTube) - I see results pretty quickly if I stay consistent in using them 3-4x per week, especially in the endurance department :) Also, Tae Bo with Billy Blanks and pretty much any form of yoga.
  • You mentioned this in your post already, and it was what I was going to suggest anyway: INTERVAL TRAINING!!! Increases endurance and actually burns more calories in less time than just straight running or walking. There are a million formulas out there on the interwebs, but just find out a ratio that you think is…
  • If you read up on losing weight based on your TDEE, total daily energy expenditure, you will be able to eat more, based on the stats you gave, and still lose weight. It builds your endurance step by step, and you don't feel like you're killing yourself in the process (which was good for my ego!)

Mine wasn't soda, but candy. You concentrated on soda a lot in your post, so I don't know what the rest of your diet is like, but if it is very…
  • "The American Heart Association has more specific guidelines for added sugar — no more than 100 calories a day from added sugar for most women and no more than 150 calories a day for most men." -- Mayo Clinic Keep your eye on added sugar; naturally occurring sugar is usually not what dietitians/doctors are worried about.…
  • Fat does make a difference no matter the calorie deficit, depending on what kind of fat you're eating. As long as your saturated fat levels are staying at or below the recommended 7% of total daily calories (no more than 10%) and the rest of the fat is mono- or poly-unsaturated fat, then I wouldn't worry too much about a…
