781 pages! Yes, duh

This feels like a trap.

It's about a lifestyle change. Surgery sometimes forces you down lifestyle changes that you wouldn't necessarily keep up if your body didn't force you to do it. So, the question you need to ask yourself is could you keep up the pre-op diet permanently? If you couldn't (and you shouldn't be able to) then keep researching…

I've done it, I love it and hate it all at the same time. I believe if you stick through it as much as possible, modify the moves as needed, you will see results. I also really liked Turbo Fire as well!

It took from Aug 2012 to present. I did get pregnant in 2012 as well, but was still able to lose the weight.

My high school weight was (2000-2003) 150-165lbs size 12 My current weight is: 137 lbs size 6

Hey there! My goal is more body fat % oriented. I'm currently 137lbs (started at 222lbs) and I want to gain some muscle. So I might gain some "weight" but I'll wear smaller clothes. Currently I wear size small shirts and size 6 pants. My goal is to be in the 20-25% body fat range.

This may sound weird, but I put homemade salsa in my tuna instead of mayo. It's SOOO good.
-
I've heard of a lot of success on that program!! I haven't done it, but let me know how it goes, I'm pumped for you! :)
-
I would buy Turbo Fire instead!! I love Chalene Johnson and this is an awesome beach body product.

Literally, Google "5lbs of fat" and look at the images. Do you honestly think you can lose four times that amount in two weeks?! Crazy, crazy thinking.

Well, unless you're trying to stay away from animal protein, lean meat is the easiest and best way to get in high amounts of protein without high calories. Ground turkey with lots of seasoning on top of a salad mix with salsa and avocado is my top favorite meal. Other than that I love me some easy canned tuna that I can…

I don't know if I'm still completely pear shaped but I am definitely hip and thigh heavy! I LOVE jeggings and I usually wear them with a suit jacket that is cropped a little higher than the hip so as to flatter my smaller waist, and then I always wear wedge heels! ALDO shoes is my favorite. Hope this helps!

I'm hoping so!

Which is ironic, because PCOS causes weight gain and all sorts of other issues!! I feel your pain. I have PCOS as well. I'm 28.

oops, replied from my husband's haha. The dietician hasn't responded to me yet, but I will try her again. I got pregnant shortly after the surgery. Big no-no, but everything turned out fine. I think I'm confused about what macros are, but if they are the percentage of protein, fat, and carbs to eat then yes that's what I'm…

I would add sugar as one of the nutrients to watch. Since you do well with other things, change your settings to see how much sugar you are consuming. That could play a huge role.

I'm trying to find some sort of balance. I'm not sure what to do to be honest. My body seems to really like paleo, however the calorie intake is pretty low. So I don't know what is healthy or the best route to go for reducing body fat. I don't currently lift weights but I have been doing Turbo Fire and Insanity and a…

second question... I had gastric bypass and currently eat between 900-1400 calories. On the paleo meal plan, 1000-1200 is more realistic since it's mostly nuts, avocado, meat and veggies. On the site above, it said "reckless" fat loss at 1464 calories. If I'm eating less than that, what's most likely happening to my body,…

Hi! I have been taking all my vitamins from Bariatric Advantage ( I buy mine off of Amazon because they come wayyyy faster). Bariatric Advantage was recommended by my surgeon's office, and it's the only kind I take - all of them are chewables and therefore I know that I'm getting the vitamins in my system. I love the…

I see where you're going with this. They're all right, but also it takes calories to burn protein, so I'd still always go with a protein based diet. I'm currently on the paleo meal plan, and I try to eat good fats, lots of proteins, and carbs from veggies and fruits. I think adding more protein in your diet is always a…

May 6 2013!! Sorry, not 2012. She's 3 months old.

Go car shopping with her! Or clothes shopping.

Hey, I'm going to be your cheerleader/coach/Jillian Michaels for a second: some things to consider: really think of more motivating reasons "why" you want to be healthy. I was looking at your profile and you have a good one, but that's it (prediabetic/diabetic I count as only one motivator). Also, you're looking for a new…

I would go back to the doctor or clinic that approved your surgery and talk to them about this. They may have more suggestions. I know the gym is boring, but the other ideas are great too. My mom loves doing videos on the Wii. The point is just to move around and be more active, even if it's for only a half hour a day. As…

I got/am pregnant only 1 month after surgery. Had/have PCOS along with prediabetes and all that. Not saying that is the way to go or that it was a good idea, but what I'm saying is I'm 31 weeks along with a normal baby, perfectly on with development and weight, and absolutely 0 complications. I lost 50lbs so far and my…

Hi! I'm due May 20 so I'm close to you. :) This is my first baby. I'm excited and overwhelmed. My doc is testing my blood sugars now to see if he wants to put me on medication to prevent gestational diabetes. My blood sugars were low however when I tested myself - always under 100 and sometimes in the 60's. Since you had…

I'm new to this group. I'm excited to be a part of it and hear all your stories! I'm due May 20, 2013 with my first child as well. My situation is a little complicated in that I recently had gastric bypass and was infertile until now. Big surprise! I see a dietician and a high risk OBGYN. So far I'm having a normal…

I have tried lettuce a few times and gave up. I take a bite or two and I'm full and it hurts and I don't get any calories, protein, or anything else in for a few hours. I gave up on salads and just stick with other healthy foods.

haha this. I have to work out to angrier music to get my adrenaline working so I workout harder and longer. Typically bands like American Head Charge ("Loyalty"), Norma Jean ("Athiest Deathbed"), Chevelle, Dry Kill Logic, etc.
