This right here! I had a coworker that bragged about doing this and she said she doesn't think people should drive fast and she will make sure that she prevents as many people as she can. She drives under the speed limit but purposely gets in the fast lane.

I definitely suggest craigslist as well. Be patient but you can find good deals. Driving by local garage sales don't hurt either, you can find small collections of plates for cheap prices and can build up your collection that way. I was looking a few months back and found a power cage, 250lbs in plates, two olympic bars, a…

My brother works at Applebee's and he tells me nothing but good things about them. He was worried when he started working because its a typical staple for us and he didn't want to be grossed out by what he would learn from working there. He has no complaints. He said the staff cleans quite often, the food is fresh and…

If you can get your calories and your macros in, it doesn't matter when you eat. I personally need to eat breakfast quickly after I wake up but I have low blood sugar so I tend to pass out if I don't eat within a few hours of waking. If I didn't have that issue though I'd wait until noon or later to eat since my hunger is…

I just use the whole amount I put in. However, weighing the pan with oil before food and after you take the food off is an good way of doing it.

Personally, I would have a hard time being okay with that. They are obviously more sexually attracted to that than they would be towards me so I would have a hard time feeling "good enough" in bed knowing that when they have a choice of material, they pick a different gender than what I am. This is more of issue with self…

You are strong, healthy, beautiful, sexy and awesome. It sucks that your husband! My bf likes to pull the "you aren't going to love me anymore" and likes to call himself fat. He lifts with me now but doesn't control his eating and has had me track his food and he's always over on calories and low on protein. I advise him…

The only issues I have with porn is: 1. If the partner watches exclusively one type of girl/guy and that doesn't match you. For example, only blondes but you are a red head. I'm not sure why it bugs me but to me it shows that they are into that type of person and you don't meet that standard. 2. If they watch porn instead…

I believe the person that was saving the money didn't believe in banks and stored the money in the couch, when she passed away the couch was donated. They gave the money to a relative of the person. I hate to say this but that kind of money would change my life and I would keep it. I know it may not be the right thing to…

MFP is just giving you the information - it's your choice if you use it or not. If you have no health concerns that are affected by sugar - ignore it. I don't have sugar listed in my diary because I don't care. Sugar by itself won't cause a stall in your weight loss, it's just a carb. My best advice, ignore it and focus on…

In N Out > Five Guys I thought Five Guys was alright but not worth it for the price. In-n-out on the other hand, I could eat there every day of the week. In-N-Out has the protein style burger for when I'm lower on calories but animal style fries and burger is where it's at!

I would have told myself to start weight lifting in high school. I knew nothing of the health and fitness world and believed I would get "bulky" if I lifted more than 10lbs. I was so... dumb. I wish I could go back and educate myself. I regret that it took me until I was 23 to find my love for weight lifting

Try the search feature in the forums. There are lots of forums about this topic and you can look through them all for ideas.

My boyfriend had to learn to put the toilet seat and lid down because if he left it open his cat would jump in then make a wet mess all over the house.. I grew up with brothers that always left the seat up. It only took one time of falling in to make a life time habit of checking before sitting.

I had to get over my all or nothing attitude and get over the myth of "good" and "bad" food choices. Once I learned and accepted that I could eat my favorite foods daily and still hit my calorie and macro goals, I no longer had "trigger" foods. If you want pizza, find a way to fit it in your day. Don't sacrifice foods you…

1) 20s 2) 150 3) California 4) Moderate 5) Strength train 3x/week, walking 5x/week 6) Yes 6) Dinner 7) 5-7 I have 3 meals and dessert plus snacking. Sometimes I snack a few times a day 8) 100oz on non-lifting days and 120oz on lifting days 9) I try to fit in my macros and calories; if I can't then I find something that…

When you start a new form of exercise your body retains water. You can still be losing fat but you don't see it on the scale. Be patient and give it a few more weeks. Make sure your doctor is okay with you working out. Some medical diets discourage exercise.

I think it may be partially mental. You are afraid of failing because you have no safety set in place. Is there anyway you can have someone spot you for even one set at 125? It doesn't have to be in the morning but maybe at a later time when someone is available. You will feel safe challenging yourself with a new weight…

It's just water retention and it will go away. Just be patient. What?! I don't think that's true. Screams broscience to me.

When I didn't have A/C I'd end up going to the gym more because it had A/C. Even if it meant walking on the treadmill or using the stationary bike for a long period of time at a lower speed. I'd do normal workouts too but spending extra time in the A/C was really nice and I could read, listen to music, listen to books,…

This! You aren't building muscle. It's extremely hard to build muscle and you need to be eating at a surplus.

There are some things I'll never feel comfortable not weighing; meat, peanut butter, nutella, etc. but there are some things I've gotten pretty good about eye balling and putting the right amount on the scale; nuts, jerky, trail mix, etc. I use the same small tupperware container for my nuts and trail mix and I know what…

You sound like you are at least Lightly Active. If all you do is sit on your bum 24 hours a day / 7 days a week except to go to the bathroom or to the kitchen then sure you are sedentary. Most people though are light active or above (when using mfp settings)

Ah, well then yeah Quest wouldn't be for you. They are for people looking for a protein boost. As a protein bar though they are, in my opinion, the best calorie to protein bar with the best taste.
-
How do you figure? They have 20-21 grams of protein, 17 grams of fiber and 8 grams of fat. That's perfect macros in my opinion.
-
I don't know how you do it. I've tried a few different flavors of Zone Perfect and Pure Protein and UCK! I can't even get through half of a bar (of either). Their cals to protein isn't that great either if I recall.
-
Quest Bars! I love them. I eat them out of the wrapper because I'm lazy but microwaving them does increase the taste. They are a bit expensive but worth it. Luna bars, clif bars, special k, nutrigrain are all sugary sad excuses for protein bars. They have a bit of protein and lots of sugar. Quest bars have 20-21 grams of…

Cutting carbs is not necessary. Give it time, weight lifting can screw up the scale. Are you measuring your body? I tend to rely on measurements for progress since I weight lift and my weight fluctuates a lot due to water retention.

http://strengthunbound.com/measure-body-fat-easily-accurately-home/ Near the bottom of the page it talks about where to measure. It also shows formulas to use to measure your body fat % with measuring tape. It's a good resource.
