Try watering it down, as a start. Pour a glass 3/4 full, and fill the rest of the way with water. Then, 2/3 full, the rest with water. Then 1/2 full, the rest water. Or, mix it half and half with the diet version, so you are not overwhelmed with the artificial sweetener taste. Tapering down might be easier for you than…

I only post cleaning or gardening if it is above & beyond the ordinary. Like spring cleaning where I am moving furniture, rolling up and moving area rugs, up and down stepladders, etc. Gardening if I'm doing lots of digging, bending, lugging plants all around the yard for planting, moving dirt and filled pots - not…

I try to not focus on one number: weight. I look at 3 numbers: weight, inches, and bloodwork. If my weight is the same (or even higher), for weeks - or MONTHS - on end, I might check my measurements to see if there is movement there. If not, I guarantee that when I go in for my physical, my bloodwork numbers are improved.…

In the summer time, we bike a lot, but our favorite time is towards dusk - we bike to the lake, watch the sunset, then ride along some neighborhoods, back to the trail, and then home. There is lower traffic at that time, but, again, it gets dark. In our daytime rides we have neon-yellow shirts and neon-yellow jackets. In…

Just turned 50. It's harder at 50 than 40. Good luck to you!

Yes. My first marriage lasted 9 months; my husband's first marriage lasted about 2 months. We've been married now over 23 years and still very much in love. I hated hurting my first husband by leaving, but I should have had the guts to cancel the wedding. He got over it and remarried too.

OK, I've read about these for a while but just came across them in the store yesterday. So, I bought a bag to have for lunch today as I had some leftover spaghetti sauce in the fridge (the ones I bought were spaghetti noodle style). I read several comments - rinsed them well to get rid of the smell, dried them. Put them in…

We got the bright yellow jackets - some reflective trim on them - and the sleeves zip off to make it a vest. We wear them biking or walking after dusk. Even so - people still don't always see us. When walking, we also carry a small mag light for extra illumination. Riding, we have headlights and taillights too. People just…

I am because its' already happening and I can't figure out why. I joined in May of 2011. I lost about 40 lbs by Thanksgiving. Gained a couple over the holidays but got them back off by Feb 2012, so my total loss was 42 lbs. I was just maintaining for a while but I wasn't worried because it was winter, and I have to do my…

The program gives me about 1450 calories, I exercise and get maybe another 250 calories/day, so that is 1700 calories, and I struggle to stay within that! I always wonder about people who say they are on 1200 calories. I'd be starving! Some days I don't eat all my exercise calories, but many days I do.

I used to have a handicapped parking spot because of it. I got a lot of good info from www.heelspurs.com. I changed my shoes to birkenstocks, due to the high arch support. 10 years later I still wear birks 90% of the time. If I wear other shoes & my feet start hurting again, switch back to the birks. #1 help is to do foot…

We don't have kids coming around in our neighborhood, but when we did, I just bought the kind of candy I didn't like. Or things like jawbreakers, bubble gum. I sure didn't over-buy for leftovers. I'd rather run out and then just give kids spare change if I get a few extra.

I have this as well - it used to be so bad I had to get a handicap parking pass as the pain was so awful. You can get a lot of good help from www.heelspurs.com. My tips for you: 1/ the pain is worst when you first get up from sleeping or sitting for a while. This is because you are re-injuring yourself by tearing it again…

They were my favorite when I was a kid. What I can't figure out is why, if you look at the calorie count on the boxes, an unfrosted pop tart has the same number of calories as the same flavor pop tart with frosting. How can it be? How can a plain strawberry poptart AND a frosted strawberry pop tart both be the same number…

My watches are too big. I have to go to the jeweler and have links taken out.

Opposite here. I've lost 37 lbs. My waist and hip measurements have dropped several inches - not so the boobs. I'm down to a 14 in pants now, but my bras (J cup) still fit fine. So, apparently, all your boobage is transferring to me.

My name is also Mari (rhymes with sorry, or calamari). I get Mary, Marie, Marnie, Marty, Marcia, Margot, Marlie, Maura, Maury.... But I love my name!

If you are working out an hour a day, you should be earning a good number of exercise calories. You eat those exercise calories back, and you will have enough calories for a sensible breakfast and lunch. You ARE supposed to eat, you know.

My brother brought a dozen red roses on a first date. They married 9 months later and have been together 38 years. Lucky for him the roses didn't freak her out too badly.
-
Wow - I started only 3 days after you and I'm thrilled w/ the 38 lbs I lost. WHAT are you doing to get such amazing results? You look beautiful!
-
So, you weighed yourself a couple days early & you wonder if it counts? I don't see why not. I generally weigh myself once a week. Now, you could weigh yourself again on your usual day, and just wait until then to "count" it. It might be 4 lbs by then. Or, it might still be 3.5. Or it could be 3. I don't think there is a…

I don't normally log cleaning, but I have in the past week because I have put in a ton of time getting the house ready for Xmas, which we hosted a week early (yesterday). So, by cleaning, I was setting up the tree, decorating it (which involved going up a stepladder, down it, moving it, up/down, move/up down/move to get…

My starting weight on 5/26 was 235, and I have lost 38 lbs since then. My exercise for the most part: recumbant bike, 10 minute aerobic videos, wii boxing, walking around my office, and yoga. In the warmer months, I swam nearly every day & rode my bike a lot (11 miles on weekends), and did some hiking. No massive 2 hour…

We met at work a few months before my wedding. He caught my garter at my wedding. That marriage lasted 9 months. I've been married to this one 21 years...

Wow - 230 to 197. I have gone from 235 to 198 and I haven't lost anywhere NEAR as many inches as you. What sort of exercise are you doing? You lost like 12" of your waist - I lost around 6. You look great! I think I'm looking a lot better but not nearly the visual results as you have.
-
Congrats! Wow - we must have totally different body types, as I started as a size 18, I have also lost 36 lbs, and I'm just now fitting into a 14. I'm THRILLED with that. I haven't been anything below a size 12 since middle school. You look great!

Exercise a little more to balance it out.

A couple years ago I got a really awful rash on my hands/feet - doctor said it was psoriasis. I didn't believe him, as it looked nothing like my uncles', but it did look like something my mother had for 40 years that was never resolved. But I went for 2nd opinion, did light therapy for it, which gave me 2nd degree burns. I…

I stopped for Taco Bell after seeing that movie - LOL!

Huge difference! Your "before" haircut is the same cut I have!
