I went shopping and grabbed three different dresses, all in different sizes. The smallest size was an 18...It's probably been 6 or 7 years since I could wear an 18. I never thought I would be excited to be in the "teens" again lol but I am!

I think it's great that you have made it halfway to your goal! Congrats to you!

I would take your doctor's advice and rest. And use this time to focus on the foods, rather than the exercise. When you go back, ask your doctor for exercise advice.

I think BMI is a horrible calculation to base your "health" on. I am in the obese category, but my blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels are all within normal ranges. I can walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded; walking 2 miles doesn't wear me out, it leaves me wanting more. So I think you need to…

I know what I'm having later on today ;)

I could quit...I don't have a problem...I can stop logging in any time...lol... I am proud to say that I am addicted to MFP. I wouldn't be where I am today without it.

I love her!!! I like the 4 and 5 mile workouts the best.
-
I do most of my logging from my phone too. Good luck to you!!!

Celebrate the loss :) any loss is significant I weigh myself a few times a week, but I only record my weight once every couple of weeks, usually on a Sunday or Wednesday.

GW: 150 lbs CW: 233 lbs Height: 5'6" Age: 23

I know exactly how you feel. I tend to eat less, a lot less, than I normally would.

The amount of calories burned when strength training varies so much, it's really hard to keep up with them. I think there is a strength training category in the cardio section. You could use that, but it will be a very rough estimate. Good luck to you!

Depending on how heavy the limbs were you could use this one: Walking, carrying infant or 15-lb load. Or you could use Gardening, general. The numbers are pretty close for both (for me).

You have come to the right place. The people here are great, and if you ever need any encouragement or advice, there are plenty of people who are willing to offer it. Welcome, and best of luck to you. If you ever need to talk, I'm here :)

Please please please please do not feel guilty!!!! You were over by less than 200 calories for the day...and you finished under your fat goal. I can understand feeling guilty if you ate a whole pizza (or two) by yourself, but you didn't. You did great the rest of the day. It was one meal, and in the grand scheme of things…

It's been raining off and on here since around noon, but it sounds like the steady rain is starting now. I was supposed to work tomorrow, but we are not going to be open. It's sad this is the only way I get a Saturday off lol. Oh well, as long as I have power I can do some things around the house, and maybe get a really…

Welcome to all of you!!!! So glad you have found us!!! I think you will really like it. We all celebrate successes (no matter how big or small) and provide encouragement when you're down. Anyone can feel free to add me, the more friends the better :) Good luck to you!

There is one piece of advice I have never understood: Get cash from the ATM. Here is my thing: If they tell you to fill up the car with gas, have a supply of water on hand, and refill your meds because you may not be able to get anywhere for a while...why would you get cash? It's not like you would be able to spend the…

Walk Away the Pounds. Leslie Sansone is my hero :)
-
I don't. I know what the reason is and I don't think I need to punish myself by recording that I gained when I know it will be gone in a few days.
-
Awesome!!!

I know you will achieve your goals. I have never been a part of such a great group of people before, and the encouragement makes me feel so much better sometimes. It's great to see people get excited about the little things (pants falling down, adding a notch in the belt, etc). You will love it here :)
-
Yay!!! That is so awesome!!! Congrats!!! :)

I used to take the pill, and I had that same problem too. I was told that the weight loss, combined with the hormones could cause it. Keep an eye on it, and if it gets worse or really bothers you, go back.

Assuming you have not changed your weight, it could be a glitch with the phone app. I would check out the site on your computer just to make sure that nothing was accidentally changed, or check for an update for your phone.

It depends, what are your goals? I have over 100 pounds to lose, so I exercise 5 to 7 times a week. Depending on how I feel I work out anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes. I have lost 20 pounds in 11 weeks. That includes skipping a few days because of surgery and moving. You could probably add in a couple days of 30 minutes of…

Does the calculator on the bike ask for your height, weight, gender, and age? MFP's calculator factors all of those in, so I think that could be the reason for the difference.

I tried it, and only survived about a week...but that's me. I tried it a few years ago, and I hated it, but I know that they have changed some of the snacks and meal bars so you have more options now. I do still drink the shakes a few times a week. They are good for the mornings that I don't have time to fuss with trying…

You did something wonderful by helping an animal that couldn't help itself. You shouldn't feel like you are being punished and you definitely shouldn't feel bad in any way about what you did. It took a lot of courage to do it, and even more to go down the street and pay 3 times as much. That tells me you are a very caring…

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I work 8:30-5 six days a week, but I have found a way to exercise every day. I get up at 6 in the morning and work out anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on my mood. I do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. I have PCOS too, so I know how you feel. Don't give up. Take a…
