Maybe the one next you is their favourite machine or the machine that he/she got their personal best time on. Just an idea.

IDK how it works elsewhere, but in Canada the only appropriate way to deal with this is to glare at them passive aggressively. If someone asked he/she to share the machine, it would imply that he/she was rude by sitting on it. And we are all terrified of being rude, or pointing out someone else's rudeness, since it is…

I get grumpy if I have amped myself up for a run and when I get to the treadmills, they are all taken. arrrggghhhhh

Me too! I have fallen off and gotten back on too many times to count. I have 20 pounds to lose.

Welcome! Good luck on your journey(s)!

It IS overwhelming! There is so much information on the internet about what is healthy and what is not, that people end up really confused and overwhelmed. I got to that point too. My advice is to make small changes, like splenda instead of sugar. Wheat pasta instead of white. Fruit instead of ice cream. A Happy Meal…

Hi there. I don't have answers for you. But I can say that I have felt the same. I 'get it together' long enough to drop a couple pounds and then i slack off until I've gained more than what I started with. I got down to a size I was thrilled with a few years back (see profile pic) but that was only with being extremely…

Hi there, I'm 36 and needing to lose 30 pounds. We can do this!
-
1260 is pretty low. You're not over eating.

I used MFP a couple years back and it helped me get into the best shape of my life! Then I got comfortable with my now husband and I've gained 30 pounds :( Anyway, now I'm back and going to hit this out of the park! It's just going to take a long time. We can do this!
-
I have lots of weight to lose too .... I need to lose at least 30 pounds. Remember all exercise counts, even if you can only do ten minutes, it's something! Also what we eat is way more important.
-
Good Luck Barbara! You can do it!

Also.. here is a link to a pdf that is about body types. It's written by Teresa Tapp, she's a fitness guru, (love her workouts). http://www.t-tapp.com/booksonline/WhatsYourBodyType.pdf

idk if it is impossible. However it's certainly harder for a endomorph to have a flat stomach than an ectomorph. The reason is, ectomorphs have more space between the end of their rib cage and the beginning of their hip. Ectomorphs (long torso) have space in their abdomen for organs, etc, whereas endomorph (short torsos)…

Of course it does. OP was asking about going very low-carb, which some people choose to do for fat loss. Others choose to focus on cutting calories. Others still choose to eat the same and exercise more. All of these methods work, you do what works for you and I'll do what works for me.
-
Carbs are converted to glycogen. Excess glycogen is converted to fat. It's not a bad thing, and ketosis is not the only way to cut or diet, but it is one that people choose for their own reasons.
-
Ketosis is when your body burns fat for fuel instead of glycogen. It is what happens when you don't eat carbs. Therefore it's relevant.
-
oohh interesting. I might try it.
-
All you can do is keep trying! Last night I wanted to eat fruit so bad, but instead ate some spicy pepperoni :) And then a big bowl of sugar free jello :) PS- what is CICO?

I think you may have to some trial and error to find what works best for you. For example, for my sister, if she just cuts out `starchy`food like bread and potatoes, she can shed a lot of weight quickly. However, for me, I don`t see quick results unless I go very-low carb. Meaning under 20 grams per day. I have to eat very…

mmmmm my favorite is Ethical Bean, Rocketfuel Flavor !

Yes, staying motivated is hard. I'm on and off here.... I have at least 20 pounds to lose and sometimes it seems insurmountable! Adding you now.

Quite sure I wasn't "talking ill of him" .... I didn't attack him, or even criticize him. Just commented that the repetitiveness and pronunciation are annoying. But go ahead and read into it.
-
You can do it! I get depressed too... and it keeps me from doing the right things for my body and health. One day at a time!

Amputate a limb

Yeah, it's surprisingly filling! Can totally help with weight loss :)

Thanks. A 20 pound loss is what will put me back at a reasonable size. I know it doesn't seem like much to many ppl, but it is a lot to me.
Oh please don't misunderstand me. I wasn't making light of your goal. Just saying that 20lb isn't a loss to be panicking about. You can do this! :)
Thanks. I get you.…

THANK YOU !!! I teared up when I read that. I think one of my problems is that *I* don't believe in me.
-
LOL! Yes I'm going to rock that *kitten* !

Thanks. It's nice to know that others get into that spiral. I can be really hard on myself.
