I agree with most of the points from this poster, but disagree with these three (numbered them myself): 1) I admittedly used BMI to set my goal weight, but honestly, that's not a number I care about very much anymore. As long as my weight's going down, as is my waist, then I don't really care if I end up at 125 (my…

Stick with it- you CAN get there. If you slip up and have a day or two (or 3, or week or months) just get back up and start trying again. There's no such thing as "I slipped up too much, it doesn't matter." Just keep trying :)

I have a crazy cat and I'm a lady... does this qualify me? My baby's not with me though, I moved to another continent so he's back home with my family right now. Looking in to how to bring him over here but it seems like a pretty big ordeal which I'm not sure I want to put him through.

I don't have a HRM either- I just use the cals given by the treadmill. I read recently that treadmills are on avg abt 13% inaccurate so I've started (since yesterday, lol) to enter 15% of the cals through the quick add option. I enter the info through the "add your exercise" option at the bottom of the list. I really am…

30 day shred is on youtube :) Need dumbbells. If you're in to yoga there are SO MANY on youtube. I haven't done many so not really able to recommend, but the one or two times I searched there were options galore. hmm maybe try searching pilates or whatever type of workout you want to do on there. Haven't tried that I'm…

Hi OP, Not going to go in to the "dangers of replacing foods" debate going on up there. Zucchini and Eggplant are great substitutes for pasta- I haven't tried it but I've heard a lot about spaghetti squash- you basically roast it and then swipe a fork down lengthwise and the squash comes out in strips- as the name implies,…

I'm in the same boat! bump for info :)

Have 2: Reaching 11kph during hiit runs (and I guess the fact that 10 isn't challenging enough anymore) and fitting in to a medium dress at h&m (and looking good!)

Awesome!! Thanks :)

bump for the info. Thanks!

I want a bagel now lol
-
Just make sure it fits in to your calories (and carbs, if you're watching that) and you'll be good.. An option as well- there are these thinner 100cal bagels on the market now. I think by Dempster's but can't remember exactly. That might be a good option? Another is to start having whole grain or multigrain ones... won't…

Bump to save info. Any suggestions for someone who has access to dumbbells and a universal machine but not a bar? much as I'd love to try them, most of the programs mentioned above use bars :(

This... she parked her car where she shouldn't have (on a HIGHWAY) and was walking on the edge of the road. I haven't read this article, but the one I read stated that both the driver of the motorcycle who was killed and his wife, who was driving another one behind him saw her and were distracted by her walking on the side…

But the thing is.. that's them and you're you. You can convince yourself they're lying if you want, but the truth is you know nothing about them. It doesn't mean that either of you are wrong, or that one of you are lesser than the other, it just means you're different people, who have different bodies and have led…

I've never considered that before! Super smart- will try that one time... and OP, I'm pretty much like you- weigh myself often through the week (also in the mornings) but I only record my weight on MFP from Wednesday weigh ins if there's a loss. I use a separate app to keep track otherwise. Edit to add: The Libra app is…

Great job!

Have you started using the barcode scanner to enter stuff yet??? Your mind will be blown. Great job on getting your health under control!!! that's a great NSV!

These look awesome! Thanks for sharing! I'd use stevia to sweeten anything Edit: Agave is another option, but if you don't like the flavour that honey leaves, it might not be for you... Stevia is pretty much flavourless (other than the sweetness)

That sounds yummy... I just got it yesterday and have already started using it in everything. I use 1 tsp at a time- put it in my oatmeal, my coffee, made an omelette with it, popcorn... I'm basically planning on replacing any use of oil/butter with it and trying to keep it to max 4 tsp (teaspoons, not tablespoons... I…

I love when the very first reply says just what I want to :) That lady was a jerk- glad she felt it.

I used to use Endomondo but i have a lot of connection problems where I am now so it's not very accurate for me. It sometimes had me running in the ocean :( So had to delete it. But when I was back in Canada, it was AWESOME. Otherwise, I use: - Skimble, a workout app, has strength and yoga workouts with both dumbell and…

Whenever I go, I usually find similar items on MFP as what I get in the thali... and I tend to go with options that are either from another restaurant or on the higher end, because lets be honest- you know they're using cream and ghee (liberal amounts) for whatever they make. And most items can be found in the database...…

My Home, Goals, Change Goals. You can either go back to default or change to new settings again.

Bump for the info everyone else is sharing, but try playing around with your macros before deciding what works best for you. At the very least you already know this works well and if nothing else does you can come back to it. Try dropping your carb level and increasing fats/ protein equally and see how that makes me feel.…

So far these past 7 days I've had 1 day off... but then again, I took a full week off very recently. Obviously, that's not entirely recommended, though I've read articles saying that a week off won't be too detrimental to your fitness- however working out every day can lead to muscle strain, tears and injury. Though…

Good to know, thanks guys :) Great question, OP, awesome info in here!!
