I feel strong when lifting. IMO, strong = sexy.

First off, scales suck. More importantly, you didn't gain weight by eating one "bad" meal. You aren't going to lose weight by eating one "good" meal. It's all about patience and perspective.
-
Yep. It can FEEL like sabotage, but these changes are mine. Support (especially at home) is appreciated, but not required.
-
Just keep tracking what you eat. It's okay to have a less-than-perfect meal or day.

Not without surgery or cocaine.

Yes.

It was a good read. (As if I did any reading with all those pictures!)

Carbs aren't bad. High glycemic index carbs in excess are bad.

Well dayum. Hi :embarassed:

I keep telling my husband that it FEELS like my quads are growing and how tempted I am to take new measurements with the tape every.single.time I squat. I have no doubt whatsoever that they're changing shape and not actually growing, lol, but they sure *feel* enormous. I have a very different body type than most women. I…

I have a chronic case of Noassatall. I've been squatting for almost three weeks now and seeing a small improvement. I'll post photos when the progress is worth sharing. Meanwhile, I am inspired by your progress and sharing of photos. Your *kitten* is amazing.

Same here. The time will pass anyway.

Thank you and thanks :flowerforyou:

Boom! I'm already close to lifting what you lift and I am sooooooo inspired! Happy to call you a friend on MFP and eager to share my own results with you, in due time. Well done, girl. Magnificent.

First off, I know many of you feel like this is beating a dead horse (and maybe it is, I only just made my way to the forums), but hot damn! It's added a lot of entertainment to my morning. A few of you will get friend requests from me! I'm annoyed as all **** by certain posts on the board, too. There is a LOT of bad…

Oh dear God, so much bad info. I'm impatient too but you know what? The time will pass anyway. Do it right.

Aladdin with the double lid for adding ice/easy washing.

Tiny 8lb dumbbells are useless IMO. Use your body weight - push-ups, planks, squats, pull-ups, etc.

Thanks for the bumps - I came I seach of more videos on perfecting my form, so fine timing!
-
I imagine I'll use the pedometer for tracking calories/steps all day but switch out for HRM while at gym.

Bueller?

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Bump
-
What? Oh, never mind. I really don't care!
-
Good for you? I don't run, I walk. And walking outside isn't always an option. I really don't understand why your knickers are bunched, homie. Dafuq do you care?

Well, I *don't* try to read or watch Netflix when I'm heavy lifting. But on the cardio machine, I'm bored to death if I have to watch the clock.
-
I watch Netflix on my iPad when I walk on the treadmill at the gym. I wish I could read instead, but that just makes me all kinds of motion-sick. And yep, it keeps my mind off the boring walk. I set the machine to hill intervals at 3.5mph, turn up the tunes on the iPhone and watch my programming with closed captions…

So I did my first set of OHP today with dumbbells and my form sucks. I watched the video posted upthread but there is no way I can do a 45lb bar (the only kind my gym has). Does anyone have links or videos to recommend for proper form of OHP with dumbbells? Thanks!

Wow, these are awesome! I can't wait to share my own pictures :)

Exactly. Also, remember to remove all clothing, poop, and spit before weighing.
