  • You look incredible!!! I just started adding strength to all of my cardio and now I am super happy that I did! Thank you for some added motivation!!
  • what type of diabetes? I have been Type 1 since I was 10 years old. I am now 34 and have been on an insulin pump for about a year and a half. It is definitely a lot to learn, even afte 24 years. Now that I log what I eat I can really see trends and what seems to affect my blood sugar the most. I also know that by…
  • Great suggestions!! Thanks! I am going to stick with the circuit that my trainer put together for me for now. I think i'm going to start with 2 days a week and then increase it to 3 and do cardio on the alternating days. I am seriously so sore today from last night's workout that I don't think I could do it 2 days in a…
  • I sweat a lot when I work out, my pony tail is always soaking wet when i'm done. As soon as I get home from the gym I take my hair out of my pony tail and spray a leave-in conditioner in my hair and allow it to dry on its own.
  • That's a great idea! We did a few exercises where I had my feet looped through the handles and I don't think that I could place them in there myself....maybe with some practice :) But If I had some at home I could yell for my husband to come and help me get my feet in there right!
  • Pinterest!
  • I am 5'7", I hit the 40 lb mark yesterday and am still fitting into the same jeans..........I did have to buy a new pair of dress pants for work because my favorite pair became very droopy, but my skinny jeans still fit fine. Maybe its because they are made with so much stretch in them now? I just wanna be out of these…
  • I'm 34 and needing to lose another 74 lbs......i hit 40 lbs loss this AM! It feels great but I still have a lot of work to do! Add me!
  • try a mild facewash. I use cetaphil In the AM followed by cetaphil dermacontrol moisturizer, it has an SPF in it too, so 2 birds, one stone. At night I use Cerave PM moisturizer after I wash my face with a 3% benzoyl peroxide wash.
  • are you weighing your food? I have a food scale at home and at my office and its eye opening to see how much food you are really eating. If you don't have one it doesn't have to be anything fancy. I got both of mine from Amazon and each was only $14. I weigh my fruit, vegatbles, meat....everything. I measure all my liquids…
  • wow!!! You look fantastic!! Awesome work!
  • You look awesome!! I bet you are having a blast buying new cute clothes!
  • cold coffee + vanilla protein powder and a few ice cubes in the blender.
  • Great advice! You would think after 24 years this would get easier
  • I wouldn't take an entire day, but I think that a cheat "meal" every now and again is fine. I used to have a cheat meal every Saturday, but my losses have stalled so I had to kiss those meals goodbye. If you can do it and still lose weight at the rate you are hoping for then I say go for it.
  • I find that when I want to snack at night if I have a cup of flavored hot herbal tea that it does the trick. Its sweet and somehow it makes me not hungry anymore. If that doesn't work I eat a big dill pickle. No calories, just some sodium!
  • Great job! You look amazing!!
  • @‌midwesterner85 yes, that's where its catching. @Okulyd, I'm going to have to try to move it and see if that helps any. I gave up last week and have been putting it in my stomach again :(
  • Unfotunately im not pulling out the first site, i'm only actually pulling out the second site that has the steel needle in it. In theory I should be able to stick it back in, but there is no stickiness left in the adhesive part so I can't
  • Thanks for the suggestions- i use the sure t infusion set so there is already another contact point. Maybe i can get medtronic to send me a longer tubing to try that out. I'll have to pick up some tape in the meantime. I havent tried my arms or legs yet.
  • your muscle definition is awesome!!! I would love to be where you are someday! I would love to hear how you got there!
  • I have been taking biotin everyday for at least the last year to try to grow my hair....i have never heard of this but now i'm off to look into it.
  • I have been type 1 since I was 10 years old...so 24 years now. I never had great control until I got a pump about a year and a half ago. Best decision I ever made. However, weight loss is slow, but possible. I have about 70-80 more lbs to go. It does seem to help to keep your sugar steady. I eat low-ish carbs, I workout 5…
  • Northwest, Pittsburgh-ish here! I am dying to get out of the gym and get outside, I live close to a state park with a great bike/walking trail and can't wait to be able to use it again. I have rebeled though and as of Monday refuse to wear socks....except for when i'm at the gym! Think warm thoughts!
  • i have several of her videos that I use if I can't make it to the gym. My new favorite is her walk if off in 30 days which is 2 30 minute workouts. One is cardio which is a higher intensity than her normal walks and the other one is strength training. You are supposed to alternate them 6 days a week. Check them out if you…
  • Honeysuckle white makes a great hot italian turkey sausage.
  • I make it frequently, Im a type 1 diabetic so I have to watch my carbs. Mrs. Dash makes a tomato basil seasoning that is salt free and makes the crust have a great flavor. Definitely lay down parchment paper on the pan that you are going to use. I usually bake half way through, take it out of the oven and flip it over on a…
  • that is very concerning that someone who is trained to keep people alive until they get to a hospital does not know the difference. If they were the same thing why would they be called 2 different things. I ran into an acquaintance at the gym a few days ago and she was asking me if I noticed a difference in my diabetes…
  • I just ordered this book. I am a type 1 diabetic for 24 years now and my dr told me that I am also insulin resistant. A recent trip to my dermatologist and she told me that she suspects I have PCOS as well. I have been eating 1400-1500 calories and working out for at least an hour 5 days a week since September and have…
