  • @SCoil123 - That sounds like it was really scary, I'm glad they were able to figure out what was going on and that your treatment is going well. I do hope that the weight resolves itself in the not too distant future (((hugs)))
  • Thank you for the replies to my question. I've discussed it with my doctor in the past as it's been in the 85/60 range when I've gone for check-ups. I've never passed out but I have had dizziness/seeing stars when first getting out of bed. They didn't seem all that concerned by that but said I could try increasing my salt…
  • How do you know if it is dangerously low? I have been taking mine around 5am using the machine at the YMCA before I work out once or twice a week and it's pretty low. Usually around 75/50 or so, which I know is below the standard 90/60 threshold but haven't seen anything that indicates when it becomes too low.
  • It's something you could probably work up to if you wanted - I'm only 5'2" and I walk at 4.7mph on the treadmill for most of the hour I'm on it 5 days a week :) Thankfully I don't have balance issues while on it and don't need to use the handles.
  • I just tried them tonight for the first time, the coffee chocolate chip flavor, and it was amazing!!! I’m hooked!
  • For me, it was that WW was something I knew about and knew people had success with. I only did it online and didn't use any support features, I just used it to log what I ate and earn extra points from activity. Honestly, I probably would have felt overwhelmed if I'd tried to jump straight into calorie counting. WW was…
  • I lost 30 lbs through Weight Watchers online 7 years ago. I wanted to go at least another 10 lower but found I wasn't able to drop any lower at that time using their system and that's when I started with MFP. I did find having used WW for 6 months or so to have been a great way to get in the habit of tracking what I ate…
  • I’m 5’2” and went from 150 to maintaining around 103-105
  • I personally found that I needed the soles of my shoes to be very flexible to avoid blisters. I went to a running store for evaluation/fittings multiple times and was also shown how to lace stiffer shoes to avoid the rubbing on my heels when I walked. Doing this helped with my heel slipping but I found that to create too…
  • It worked out to be pretty accurate for me as well :)
  • I think I'm generally in the 800-1,000 grams a day range. This is fairly representative of a day of vegetables and fruit for me: 200g zucchini/yellow squash 150g broccoli 150g cauliflower 150g carrots 100g apple 85g cabbage 70g pumpkin 30g clementines
  • Thank you. I am happy to learn that I just wasn't understanding how it was packaged. I might need to swing by the store on my way home tonight :)
  • True - I tend to look at servings per container and the weight of a serving, I didn't notice that a serving size is a tub. Maybe it does come in a 2 pack like @deannalfisher suggested.
  • Looking at the nutritional information on their website it looks like each tub is 2 servings at 190 calories per serving. Important detail ;)
  • It seems to me as though you might be calculating this wrong as you'd have to weigh less than 100 lbs to use that formula and only need 30ish grams of fat.
  • I’m 5’2” and my starting weight was around 150. At that time I was extremely sedentary. I’d had severe PPD and while I’d lost most of the pregnancy weight I still wasn’t fitting into my clothes at almost 2 years after my youngest was born. I started Weight Watchers and used that to drop down to 120 but I wanted to lose…
  • Make a treat that you can enjoy without worrying about temptation such as: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10500016/low-calorie-protein-cheesecake/p1 You can play around with the recipe to change the flavor if you want, there's lots of awesome suggestions in the thread :)
  • 10 minutes warm-up on the rowing machine upper body strength training - combination of free weights and machine 60 minutes walking on the treadmill - average pace of about 4.5mph
  • Can you weigh it again after cooking? Then you can make note of the total amount, and weigh your leftovers to know what percent to deduct from your original portion? For exmaple, If I were making oatmeal: 1. I would weigh my bowl that I was making it in by itself 2. weigh out my dry amounts 3. add my water (or whatever you…
  • Another thing to note with carbs is that the fiber portion of carbs generally isn't included in the calorie count so if you have a lot of fiber in your diet that can skew your macro/calorie calculations.
  • I'm pretty much the same - 2 children, one is 5 and the other 3 and my stretch marks are all faded. I'm pretty much at goal weight (shark week is approaching so I'm a little higher right now) and I have the lose skin around my belly like you describe. It is fine when I stand up and my belly is fairly flat at this point but…
