Have you thought about doing something like Special K which is lower in sugar and adding fresh fruit? Even oatmeal would be filling and similar.

5'2" and starting weight 203 lbs (hoping that last number stays on the decline!) Goal is 150 lbs 34 years old, I work full-time at a desk job, love to bake and am a sugar addict...finally kicked the habit and trying to keep it that way. My husband and step daughter love desserts and junk food so its a struggle. Another…

tonight we are having chicen burrito bowls, kind of a play on the Chipotle kind I'm just crockpotting the chicken breasts in salas and taco seasoning and then steaming some brown rice topping with lettuce and low fat sour cream

I've done the extreme and I gained it back and then some. This time just has to be slow and steady as I grow into this "life style" as someone else mentioned. I can't go back to lunches of Doritos and sugary foods all day ever again.

I was raised the same way and love baking, its one of those things that I know I'm good at and really enjoy doing for others. Its hard because its what I'm known for amongst my friends and family so now in trying to lose weight its a struggle. I've been trying to find more healthy recipe alternatives so I can still…

What an awful experience. I agree on the diet, focus on your diet at this point and gradually work in exercise as you are more able to tolerate them. Have you considered yoga or pilates?

Lol...Subway was my first job. I haven't thought about a pizza sub in years.

Yes! Until recently I used to stock up each Sunday for the week and pack my desk drawers...hidden away of course, with junk. Double Stuff Oreos, Reese's PB Cups, Doritos, Cheetos, so much junk. Blows my mind. I'm shocked I'm not diabetic or on cholesterol/bp meds.

Right here. We can do it! Its not going to be a "diet" this time but a committed lifestyle change. It doesn't have to be punishment, just learning new ways of living. It feels like I'm always at one extreme with my weight and have gone from 105 to 205 in the last ten years. Time to get real about things.

What about some sort of egg white scramle/omelet? With tomatos, potatoes, or spinach sounds good. A spinach salad with apples and walnuts is also good.

My husband was in the same situation 3 years ago. We began to eat better and he got into running. He was able to get off all meds and has been very healthy since. Use this as a wake up call and realize you can turn it all around with diet and exercise. Doesn't need to be running either, find something you enjoy and I bet…
