  • I logged everything religiously for a few months, then once I got used to the portion control I stopped. I haven't gained the weight back and am continuing to lose weight and tone. But the initial calorie-counting helped me get to the point where I can eyeball my portions rather than break out the measuring cups, and it…
  • That's 100% correct! It's all about how you feel. :) That being said, good luck in your competition, kick some major butt!
  • What's your name? Hi, I'm Kassi. Where do you live? Vallejo, CA What are your food vices/ cheats? Cheetos. What do you think is holding you back from being in your TOP shape? Sticking with an exercise plan. What's your favorite exercise? Running, yoga, or dance. What exercise would you like to try this year? My goal was to…
  • I'll be making my own salad in the dining hall of the hospital where I work for lunch today. Does that count?
  • Great challenge! I knew there was a reason I didn't want coffee today. ;)
  • Hi everyone, I'm Kassi. I'm a solitary Wiccan (who doesn't practice as much as she would like!) and recently moved to California from South Dakota. I'm also a vegetarian (I firmly believe that if I can't kill/butcher it, then I shouldn't eat it) and have been for about two years now. I live with my boyfriend, dog, and two…
  • An extra five on the treadmill it is!
  • I sooooo need this today: To my incompetent f-tard of a co-worker: The reason you "suddenly" have so much free time is because everyone brings their issues to me instead of you. Why? Because I will get it done before the next ice age hits. To my carpool passenger: you smell awful. I take a deep breath right before you get…
  • Whipped cream and a spoon...then I'd tell my boyfriend it "expired" and I threw it away whenever he noticed it was gone. :(
  • I've been slacking on my workouts lately so I'm going to set a 400 calorie burn goal for myself. Don't want to let the team down!!
  • Honestly? I go for a run. Nothing like a post-run high to get me into a better mood. Plus that time that I'm hitting the pavement is time to myself and time to think (or not!). Yoga helps too.
  • Body Glide....saved me on my first half marathon and I use it before every run now!

  • I've done one half (CMM Nashville) and am currently training for my second which will be in January (Rock N Roll Phoenix). They're addicting once you've started!
  • I'm also a huge fan of the "Crunch" workouts!

  • I drink my coffee at least an hour before I go for a run...that seems to help "hurry" things along.
  • After work, my dog and I are going on a hike, then I'm doing yoga. Big run tomorrow (10 miles) so I'm taking it easy tonight. :)
  • I like to watch a movie or TV show while I'm on my treadmill. I usually turn the subtitles on so I can at least read the dialogue, since the treadmill is too loud for me to actually hear what I'm watching. Plus I watch something I've already seen so I can follow the story easier.
  • I met my boyfriend of almost six years when we worked together at McDonald's after high school. And guess what? I'm lovin' it! :P
  • I'm up for it! What's the plan?
  • Maybe pack him a lunch with healthy snacks? My boyfriend works at a computer all day and used to eat BK almost daily. It's cheaper for me to pack him a healthy lunch and plenty of good snacks and he feels better and has more energy.
  • Broiled with a little garlic sprinkled on top...yumm!
  • Awesome job on the run! Keep it up and before you know it, you'll be doing 5k, 10k runs, maybe even working into half/full marathon category! I can fully appreciate and recognize the feeling, I ran my first full mile in November, and did my first half marathon in April.
  • I use the Crunch Super Slim Down...it's on Netflix instant streaming. :)

  • Sometimes I'll take my 3 year old basset on a 5k if I'm just going for fun, not for time. He likes to walk most of the way in the back of the crowd. He never leaves anyone behind! :)
  • I'm with you 100%!!
  • Welcome and good luck on your half marathon! I just did my first one on April 30th, and I really did feel accomplished (even though I was a bit on the slow side)...I'll be doing another one in January, feel free to friend me. You can never have too many training friends. :)
  • 1. I'm 23 years old. 2. I just moved to California from South Dakota last August and LOVE IT! 3. I have a basset named Carlin, and two cats, Jose and Bosco. 4. I'm a nursing student, wanting to specialize in hospice care. 5. My boyfriend is a photographer and we have been together for almost six years. 6. I work as a…
