When and how will we get the results of our weight loss?? (Please don't take this post that I am trying to rush you in any way....)

Actually, I decide if I want it because I am bored or because I am really hungry. Usually I find it is because I am bored. Recognizing that makes it not so appealing anymore. If I find I want something because it tastes incredible  ...then I just get a spoonful to get the taste and walk away...:brokenheart:

Good morning all :glasses: Welcome Megan to the Purple People Team!

This week we just give you our weight right? I had a bit of setback... I lightly sprained my ankle yesterday when I stepped in a hole taking down a trampoline for the kids (we are moving). I thought it would be OK, but the more I walked on it the weaker it felt. So today I didn't run, but I did walk at a very leisurly…

Between run/walking for an hour this morning, and moving out of my house, tearing down trampolines and hauling stuff to the dump, I have burned lots of calories today. I am so exhausted, but tonight there is a benefit dinner for my daughter. Spaghetti dinner! Yea!!! Pasta booo!! But, I think all my exercise today will make…

I haven't properly introduced myself yet... I am Tina. I live in Fredericksburg VA (Halfway between Richmond and Washington DC). I commute to Northern Virginia every day for work which is about 2 hours each way (ugh!). I have three beautiful children ages 13, 12, and 10. They are very good at encouraging me to keep on…

I love this and will try it at the gym on a rainy day next time. I have been training for a 5k. To do this I started by walking 30 min. Then I added in running for 1 min and walking for 7 min then running a min. Doing that alone for an hour I have been burning nearly 700 calories. I am soon going to increase it to running…

I also just added mine because I wanted to know how much I have saved since I quit. I remind my husband every time I buy something new how much we saved from me not smoking... almost 4 years now since I quit. I also packed on poundage when I quit. Ugh.
-
OMG yes! I had 2 potlucks last week and I work in a position where I would offend if I didn't try something from everyone! UGH!
-
I wish this post could get a sticky instead of all the bumping

Thank you all for the encouragement and replies. I took that support and hit the gym here at work (yes I am so lucky to have a gym at my job!). They also have a Tanita scale. This tells you your weight and can even tell you how much weight you have in muscle and how much in fat along with some other great facts. According…

:grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: :grumble: I started MFP about a month ago. For the first 2 weeks I ate less calories and exercised and didn't visit the forums much. I didn't eat my exercise calories. I lost 11 lbs! Then I stumbled upon Bank's post about eating your exercise calories…

I have been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt and grew out of it! I also just recently started and I am up to 13 lbs lost. Lets see if we can get through this together!
