I've been using mfp for over 2 years to track..but seldom come to the message boards. Oh boy am I glad I did today. Your story..your journey is so encouraging. How you did this for you and just kept finding things that interest you and just kept at it. I love it..congratulations and wish you the best for your life.

I've done both....weightloss is 80% in the kitchen and 20% in the gym or something like that. So I agree that you can lose with diet alone...however to maintain and keep it off and to look as healthy exercise is key....

I agree with the other poster. I've owned a bodymedia corefit since April 2013. It's been good seeing my actual burn, but the charge to use the website...I won't be renewing in April ( I signed up for a year) but I like that both are linked to mfp. I'll probably look into fit bit because it can be concealed.

It's all a personal choice...some of mfp like to be critique in their food choices and some just like to hear a work of encouragement as they make their choices. But most lilke to just hear that they're doing good..keeping on the journey. So unless someone ask me to critique them then everyone falls in the the later…

Congratulations on your first goal. You will succeed with such a positive attitude. It's a process...one of unending possibilities. In the beginning of this round of my journey...I took it one small goal at a time. 5lbs..no more no less was my goal to lose. That was 101.4 lbs ago. I've been on this round of my journey for…

thanks...this helps me keep things in prospective.......I'm within 3lbs of my personal goal. Although it sometimes seems like I won't get there...at the same time I know I will. Since I'm living the lifestyle and not dieting.....my body has no choice but to keep releasing the fat. However it's doing it how and when it…

It can be a daily struggle to stay focused sometimes...then some days it just becomes natural. That's what I'm going for to become natural on most of not all days. But until then I stay connected with folks on the same journey via mfp and youtube. I love when mfp says if I continue to eat and exercise the same way on a…

you've done an awesome job thus far....keep it going. I'm within 15 lbs of my personal goal. now once we reach goal then what?? it's a lifestyle of maintenance...so why not start practicing maintenance? like the other poster said..train hard..go hard..and practice maintenance. and you'll drop that 25 for sure...and then…

not quite a drop out as of yet...I been on and off WW for so many years...and WW taught me the value of portion control and tracking..still feel sort of loyal. But although I'm ww online only...I use mfp for tracking now...because it tracks calories..I need to track calories in calories out....and its working for me.
-
yeah....from what I've read...tracking is a part of this lifestyle journey...so yes I will be an ongoing tracker here.
