This is something that is worth a shot! I'll have to look for it this week. Thanks for the info. My sneakers are kind of old as well. So that will be my next purchase! Thanks!

I don't have a bike. But once school starts up in the fall the gym is available to me there. So it is most likely something that I'm going to do. If I could find an elliptical I'd be a happy girl too!

As far as going to a doctor-I'd have to save up some money to do that. I am currently an unemployed student...so money is super tight for me.

Even if you don't get the full 12 lbs your body will transform and you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to see what my results will be after I'm done!

I wish I took before pictures. I have 4 days left and I've lost a total of 19lbs so far. I haven't done a weigh in since Sunday. So my hope it to be down 25lbs by the time I'm done :-) It's a killer, but it is totally worth it. So anyone that is wondering if you should do it or not....DO IT!!! ~Becki

I know that for myself I try to keep my calories between 1200-1300 regardless of my exercise. I try to eat a big breakfast filled with lots of protein and whole grains. I have found that helps me a lot. Sometimes my calories will be around 500 for breakfast. I wait a half hour to an hour and then I work out. Not sure if…

I have been trying to stay away from anything besides water lately. If you use soda for caffeine maybe you should try taking Vitamin B12 in the morning with your breakfast. I take a 1000MG pill every morning. I find that I have way more energy that way than I ever dd with coffee or soda. I started taking B12 last semester…

Hey All! I have just over 100lbs to lose to be at my goal. I've been here for almost a month and have lost 19lbs so far. I would LOVE to be a support to anyone that needs it. There are days that I get discouraged too. Feel free to add me please! Lets get together and pound this out, literally :) ~Becki

Tomorrow is a new day! You can call this your "cheat day" and just try and stick to a decent diet the rest of the week. Also, drink as much water as you possibly can. We are all going to have days where we don't do very well. As far as your weight. I never weigh myself during the day. If I do I go crazy b/c I sometimes…

I'm doing the 30DS now. I'm on level 3. I have not taken a break and I've lost 19 lbs! I make sure I eat decent and on top of the 30DS I either walk or do some sort of other cardio 2-3 times a week. I make sure I get lots of sleep and drink lots and lots and lots of water. I have a really bad knee and I'm still doing it.…

I have one "cheat" meal a week. I set this aside in case my friends want to go out to dinner at a restaurant where I can't count calories or if I get invited to eat dinner with my brother and his family. I don't want to NOT have a social life or seem rude when people ask me over for dinner. However, I make sure that I eat…

I'm doing the 30DS right now. I have done it faithfully every day. I have 9 days left and then I'll probably take a couple days off. I've lost 19 lbs so far though. It's only 20 minutes a day. If you don't really do anything else you should be fine. I sometimes go for a swift walk for 30 minutes or I do Jillian Michaels'…

I understand what you mean! I have lost 19 lbs since joining MFP. Before joining I only had about 5 shirts and 1 pair of pants that fit me. I promised myself over a year ago that I wouldn't buy any new clothes until I got smaller than the clothes I already own. Well...the last 2 weeks I've been starting to fit into my old…

Thanks everyone! I'm most likely going to try and find one used since I'm kinda broke right now! But this helps a lot!

A couple weeks ago my brother was visiting from out of town. I had him sleep in my room and I took the couch so I could get up and work out before he woke up. He woke up kinda early and sat on the couch and watched me for a minute. I asked him to leave. He asked why and I just told him he didn't need to see me jiggling. He…

I would have to agree with everyone else here. I've been overweight for most of my life, but after my 28th birthday I knew I needed to make some serious changes in my life. Not just to lose weight, but to gain control over my life period. I've been at this lifestyle change for almost a month and I can honestly say I see my…

The same thing happened to me last week. However, I realized that when I weighed myself I had just drank a bunch of water and weighed myself at different times of the day. That's why now I make sure I weigh myself I wake up and use the restroom. That way you don't have anything in your body that is going to give you stats…

Thanks for posting! I keeps the rest of us more focused and encouraged that it can be done!

I know what you mean. I've been one to snack when I watch tv, sit at my desk, or am just bored. I've been doing this site for about 10 days and I can honestly say that I have not once snacked. I've been tempted several times but whenever I have that urge I just get up and do something. I'm a photographer so I'll edit…

Almonds are another great way. I also will eat a Pure Protein bar. They are pretty good and come in a lot of different flavors. The protein on those is 20g about 200 calories. I will eat that for dinner sometimes and I'm all set.

I suppose it depends on you. i prefer the elliptical b/c I have a bad knee, but some like the treadmill b/c it's more like running...up to you though :)

Welcome to MFP! Sorry to hear about your knee injury. I had a major knee injury about 7 years ago. One piece of advice that I can give you. Don't ever let your injury be an excuse not to be healthy and stay as active as you can. This was my excuse for 7 years! I have been doing this for about a week and I did jumping jacks…

Hey Hun, there is no reason why you can't reach your goal by the time you're 27 let alone before you are 30. My goal is to be physically where I want to be by Christmas 2012, and I have a lot more to lose than you :-( BUT I can just say this...this site is going to help you! It's already helped me. I've only been here…
