I'm a huge fan of the slow cooker, especially in winter. If you have a thermos you can fill with hot food in the morning (microwave) and it should still be warm for the evening. My new lunch staple: cooked chicken from Woolworths and a bag of lettuce (mixed or cos), add a few slices of avocado and a handful of cherry tomatoes. Really easy, yummy and low carb! Throw any extra in a tupperware container for salad or sandwhich the next day....
