I like doing it in advance because it's like a preview of my future cal consumption and I can tailor it from there.

I'm a pear body type so I've had bigger thighs my whole life, even after I've lost weight. I do cardio and weights to keep them in line but I suggest you embrace it! Everyone is built differently, I can't imagine myself with tiny thighs. TONED thighs is always my aim. Plus I like how strong my legs are, it's pretty cool :)

Congrats! Good luck :) Mind over matter - you can do it!

I drink a lot of water, green tea (hot liquids help fill you up as well), and eat a small meal/snack every two hours. My body is so accustomed to it that I start to feel hungry exactly on the nose of two hours. I also eat lighter towards the evening. After the gym I may eat bits of what I'm making for lunch tomorrow and…

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Starbucks is my weakness to and I love the Soy Chai Latte's which do not come in any sort of "skinny" variety whatsoever! I say go by your count and next time get a tall, it satisfies your taste and you automatically cut down calories. Just an idea.

I agree, there will always be temptation. Mind over matter. You can't hide all the candy dishes in the world!

Support is the best thing about MFP! It helped me while I was hard-core trying to lose weight this summer.

I read articles on entrepreneurship and marketing (nerd, haha). I also blog and look at other blogs. Oh, and I drink a lot of Crystal Lite and Coffee...not sure if that's healthy though LOL

Madagascar! (love that movie)

I weigh myself when I wake up and before bed. I keep a close track and record data on my phone app

It's possible but if YOU like how you look now, don't worry about it. Your boyfriend might miss your "thickness" but I'll put money on the fact that he still thinks you're hot. If he's still kissing you, he's not that upset about it. If you like how you look, then that's fabulous enough.

I talked about losing weight at the end of my Junior year of college and actually followed through that summer. It started off as "preparation" for my August Vegas trip but ended up being a lifestyle change - even better. Over the summer I lost roughly 15lbs but I remember weighing as much as 204lb in my youth (and I'm…

Hi! I'm a 21 Y.O. college Senior ( I go to a great University in California). I'm 5"7 and have been as heavy as 205lbs but during my college years I (thankfully) maintained around 185-180. Currently I'm in the 170's, which is the lowest I've ever been. My goal is to get into the 160's (I'll even take 169!) by August and be…

Tall guys are my weakness!!! I love guys who are 6ft and every inch over that is like a bonus point, haha. They're seriously my achilles heel :)

I log everything - both good and bad. It is important for me to log my less-than-healthy moments so that I can see how they affected my goals for the day. It works because I feel I'm less likely to binge eat/make less-than-healthy choices in the future. I'm only human though, so I have my moments. i just always stay…

Never write call that a failure. Sometimes you just CRAVE something and HAVE to have it! It isn't a sin and a few pieces is better than a whole packet. What makes this even better is that you didn't let that discourage you, showing that you have what it takes to go the long haul. Dieting is temporary, living healthy is a…

Sodium could always present itself as a problem in the future, even if it isn't now. You don't have to be over cautious with your sodium intake but better safe than sorry. Small changes such as switching to turkey instead of pork or adding low-sodium ingredients to your favorite foods can help ensure you never develop…

Don't stress over the pounds and if you can see it, that can potentially discourage you and make you think your diet isn't working. You said the key words, "I FEEL Healthy". Feelings go a long way when you're trying to lose weight. You won't see drastic change right away but you can tell when it is on the horizon. When I…

If you're not hungry don't feel pressured to eat. But if you ARE hungry don't hesitate to nurture your body. You can always eat healthy late night snacks like popcorn or nuts in small portions. As long as you're not denying your body food (thus risking it going into starvation mode and GAINING weight) you're okay. Also,…
