Another Neghar Fonooni recipe from her blog (I haven't tried this one yet, but plan to this weekend!). Oh - and if you haven't figured it out, I'm a BIG fan of pumpkin! Pumpkin Protein Pancakes 1/2 cup organic canned pumpkin 2 egg whites (1/2 cup) 1/4 cup water 1 cup rolled oats, ground into a fine powder (use a…

Do my family/friends know I log calories? My husband and I both log our food/exercise here on MFP and both of our girls (17 and 9) know we count calories. My MIL & FIL went on vacation with us at the beach this summer and watched us on our laptop logging food everyday...and on our iPhones logging while we were out at…

I'm in southcentral PA (Harrisburg area) and it's gotten too cold too early here! They're predicting snow tomorrow (Saturday)!!! :noway: For as long as I've lived here, I don't EVER remember having snow in October...earliest I remember was around Thanksgiving. As of right now, they're saying 4-8" of accumulation in my…

Another vote for Optimum Nutrition! The Gold Standard 100% Whey in Extreme Milk Chocolate, Vanilla Ice Cream, or Mocha Cappuccino! YUM! We just ordered Optimum Nutrition's Pro Complex (not just whey - blend of a few different proteins) in Rich Milk Chocolate. It should be delivered tomorrow. Can't wait to try it! We used…

Thank you! I really like the 'do what feels right for you' mentality! I really need to work on doing that and stop getting so hung up on the numbers! If I'm hungry, I need to eat...'nuff said! I'm really feeling my NROLFW workout from yesterday! But I LOVE that feeling!!! Lets me know I worked hard. Hmmm - favorite…

Thanks so much for the input! I ended up a little over 1700 today, but will shoot for 1800 over the next couple of weeks and see how it's working. And I agree - I don't feel hungry after cardio, but I definitely do after lifting! One more question - through my weight loss process, I ate 1500 per day every day (workout or…

Oh my gosh - I totally want to order one now!!! I've got to start kissing up to the hubby so I can get him to say yes!!!! :smooched:

What a fantastic thread! I'm thinking I need to start working my way up to about the 2000 calorie per day range. I'm currently eating around 1600, but started NROLFW a few weeks ago and I really started to notice this week that I'm hungry!!! I knew I was going to need to start eating more, but I was scared to make a jump…

LOVE all of your Ron Swanson-isms! "Ron Freaking Swanson" - LOVE HIM!
-
Wonderful! Thank you! I went ahead and placed an order! Their prices were so good and they had free shipping...I was just worried they might be too good to be true!
-
Great! Thanks so much for the feedback! :flowerforyou:

Bump - need to catch up on the new thread!

Too funny!

I agree - but not just for BodyPump! Form/technique in ANY weight training program is THE most important thing!
-
I recently stopped taking BodyPump and started the New Rules of Lifting for Women program. But when I stopped Body Pump, I was using: Squats: 25kg (4 large & 2 medium) Chest: 15 kg (2 large & 2 medium) Back: 15 kg (2 large & 2 medium) Triceps: 14 kg (2 large & 4 small) Biceps: 12 kg (2 large & 2 small) Lunges: 15kg (2…

It doesn't copy the prettiest, but here's my oatmeal breakfast (1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup frozen fruit, 1 scoop protein powder, 2 cups of coffee with half & half and splenda): Breakfast Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber Sodium Giant - Quick Oats, 1/2 cup (39g) 140 26 3 5 4 0 Coffee - Brewed from grounds, 2 cup (8 fl…

We just tried this recipe, Spinach & Mozzarella Stuffed Turkey Meatloaf, over the weekend and the whole family loved it (even the kids - who aren't crazy about spinach!): http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=567725 It's not necessarily the lowest calorie, but here's how mine worked out for 6 servings:…

I totally agree with this! They'd be great to give to people you know PERSONALLY, but to hand out to kids who don't know you - chances are good that they'll end up in the trash at the end of the evening. We're going to a Halloween party on Saturday night - Night of the Living Dead theme (come as a dead person or a zombie).…

I log every day - no matter if it was a good or bad day. For me personally, it's just a good way to keep me on track and honest!

Couldn't agree more about Pitbull - his songs (and songs by other artists that he's featured on) are probably the MAIN component of my playlists! I don't think I've ever fantasized about being in one of his videos, though!
-
That's truly incredible and inspiring! I agree with what some others have said...the way you're going, you can do it on your own - no surgery needed! Great work!!!

We like the various flavors of Mrs. Dash. We watch our sodium intake, so these add lots of flavor and no sodium!

I don't think it's that important where you're measuring...what's MORE important is that you're measuring in those same places every time. But If you just wanted to make sure you're in the right general vicinity: Bust: Measure around the chest right at the nipple line, but don't pull the tape too tight. Chest: Measure just…

TluvK - I had been alternating my schedule. One week I would lift on my own (heavier weights, 2 lower rep sets) 1x and take BodyPump (lighter weights, 70-100 reps) 2x. Then the next week I'd switch to lift on my own 2x and take BodyPump 1x. And once in awhile I'd switch things up and use my TRX in place of a BodyPump…

I've completed my first set of Stage 1 A & B workouts and enjoyed them! Doing my second Stage 1, Workout A tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it because I must admit - I LOVE squats! They've always been one of my favorite strength exercises! We're still waiting for the power cage & bench we ordered to come in, though…

I'm not sure if you were asking me about this...but if you were, I can't speak to TurboJam because I've never done it. I DO have TurboFire by Chalene, though and it's a kick-boxing/aerobic workout...definitely a choreographed routine. I don't think I'd consider it dancing, though (dancing in my mind is more like Zumba). I…

We're using dumbbells, an olympic barbell and plates, & our Body Solid home gym (for lat pull-downs, wood chops, & seated rows). I've seen conversations on the NROLFW thread here about people making modifications when they didn't have the equipment that was used/shown in the book, though.
