I seem to go through this e v e r y single day! I am still having issues with my thyroid meds, so the fatigue makes it hard to exercise and I get ravenously hungry. So. Right this minute, I am starting over again! Thanks for this thread!

Wow! This is scary stuff! I just googled AVN and WHOA!!!! I wonder if the pain comes from a joint or a muscle or a bursa? Just for your own information before you see a doctor, you might at least be able to determine if the pain comes from trigger points. If you google fibromyalgia trigger points, you should be able to…

So sorry to hear you are dealing with this! I have had chronic pain in my left hip after a period of inactivity due to complications from a thyroid condition. The thing that seems to help the most is acupuncture with electronic stimulation. It is as if my practitioner is able to insert a TENS unit inside the muscle. A foam…

Is this the thread where all the Thyroid People hang out? Me too - diagnosed as hypo-thyroid last November and developed fibromyalgia as a result. It has been a real struggle emotionally, spiritually, and physically. - I am on Synthroid and Cytomel because I am a vegetarian and kosher, so can't do the armour. I agree with…

Bravo!

Hi Everyone - I have hypo-thyroidism, but not autoimmune. I am going back on plan for the first time since diagnosis last November. I think all of us would benefit from limiting sugar in our diet and increasing our percentage of protein. Also - the stronger our muscles, the better we will be able to regulate all of our…

I've got "it" toooo.... Due to hypo-thyroid condition.... Ouch all over! Going to do some restorative or yin yoga and hope it helps.

I have been a vegetarian for years - for ethical reasons. But it isn't for everyone. If you can't control your disordered eating of junk food, you are running a risk of seriously undermining your health. If you should go back to eating meat, you can research more compassionate farming practices that minimize animal…

I was diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism and that explained why I no longer wanted to work out. If you feel fatigued and a little depressed, you might want to check with a doctor. I am still not ready to go back to the level of intensity I have been accustomed to most of my life. I have been really enjoying yoga, though. You…

Being a vegetarian never caused me to lose weight.... A calorie may not ALWAYS be a calorie, but quite often it is.... More exercise, less calories..... Good luck & congratulations on your choices!

I've been married twice and "involved" several times.... I have been on my own now for a while and, guess what, I am finally happy being by myself! I had to do a look of self-inquiry about WHY I wanted a relationship.... After all the questioning, I realized I didn't want one after all. Hugs, Dear!

I changed my whole idea about what food IS by reading a lot of nutrition books. I now challenge myself to get as much nutrition as I can from the foods I am eating. It doesnt' make sense to me to fill up on calorie-dense "stuff" that isn't really feeding my body. YOU CAN DO THIS!
-
If you MUST eat bread, Canyon Bakehouse tastes a lot better than most GF products. But - as has been said before..... there is so little actual nutrition in these substitutes. Check the labels and you will see what I mean. Good luck, OP!

Does anyone know how the burn is affected by setting the incline?

Please give DW a hug from me, here 3 blocks away from Ground Zero in Tribeca.

I think you may be on to Something... I have had barometric migraines for YEARS. I recently read Dr. Buchholtz's book "The Migraine Diet." I have had to make some terrible sacrifices (vinegar, avocado, nuts) and that is really difficult on a vegetarian diet. BUT - the headaches are RARELY as intense as they used to be.…

I just discovered Splitz crisps. They are made with split peas and have 100 calories, 7 grams of fiber, 7 grams of protein.

1200 calories means you are not eating enough. (This is usually said by people for whom it IS true... but it isn't rue for everybody, especially not mine.) GRRRRRRR!

"The Blue Plate Special" by Kate Christensen. It is a sweet memoir of growing up in the 60's while obsessed with FOOD! You will love it and want more!

AS one of the other posts says, ED is very often linked with trauma.... I agree with all of those who have mentioned seeking professional help. You might want to look at the website of Mary Anne Cohen emotionaleating.org She has written a book about what it is like to experience ED therapy. Be gentle and kind to yourself.…

Love this!

Sorry you are feeling under the weather. I haven't tried a low carb diet - as a vegetarian, my options are limited. But I have found that if I eat too few calories and don't get a lot of sleep, I get pretty light-headed. Feel better!
-
Not what I was expecting.... You made MY day! What color lip gloss?

It was kinda almost cute until the guy's buddy decided to call women "b*tches." I really do not understand why this is even remotely acceptable. If that is how you presumably heterosexual males feel about women.... well, Hun, you got a HAND and it won't cause you any conflict. UGH UGH UGH!!!!!

Mine didn't improve until I got so disgusted that I just went right back to the gym and started lifting heavy again. I wouldn't recommend this for anybody else's body, though. I had the injury simultaneously in both arms. It was horrible and every single time I walked by a door-knob - you guessed it - I managed to jam it…

Going to be 58 in October. Have 4 beastly little obnoxious pounds to lose.... GRRRRRRRRR!
-
Bump! Was wondering what I was going to do with those sweet potatoes in my fridge.... Thanks!
-
I agree with BigT555.... I am fairly tiny and 1200 is just fine. I eat very well with occasional treats when I am trying to lose. I am vegetarian but eat organic eggs and dairy. I would NOT recommend this though for anyone who isn't my size, which is 5'1" and 104 lbs.

I am not really a redhead.

I know how hard it is to struggle with a rotator cuff injury.... You are AMAZING!
