  • Day 7: 45 sec done!
  • Still here! completed day 5 - though I did 45 sec :) Rest day today then to try for 45 sec again tomorrow.
  • Day 4 completed
  • Day 3: 30 sec x2 done!
  • I started a day late so Day 2 done!
  • I agree! I thought it would be the easiest since it did not have as much leg work as the others, but this is the first time I have ever sweated while doing floor workouts! edit: BTW it seems you and I are on the same schedule as I started on Sept 22 as well.
  • I am just recovering from knee and ankle issues which meant that I have not really been able to workout for the better part of the last year. I cannot do high impact activities for now. I started doing the T25 workout this week and I have been sticking to the modified workouts. It is too soon to say what my results will…
  • So I thought the speed 1.0 yesterday was hard, I was not prepared for the Total Body circuit today. Wow... for the first time in a long time I actually felt nauseous during a workout and had to take a break. I am hoping this gets easier in week two.
  • So I just started the week one today. I just finished the Cardio workout! Wow - I am worse shape than I thought. I stuck with Tanya throughout since I have recurring knee and ankle issues but even then I could not keep up with the switch lunges at all!
  • There is a September 15 t25 group that has just started. Hopefully this link to the group will post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/50741-focus-t25-september-15th
  • Hi all, I just received my copy this evening. I think I will start a week later than the rest of the group but I hope I can still fit in with you all! I have problems with my knees and ankles, and purchased this primarily because of the low-impact modifications - I plan to stick with Tanya for the first few weeks and…
  • It is nice to see so many other data geeks here :) I just restarted my weight loss efforts last week after a 1 1/2 year layoff for surgery and joint injuries, so I decided it was a good time to make an experiment of my weight loss journey. I am actually weighing twice a day, and while I am losing gradually, it is…
  • If you use amazon, search for: 'Brownmed Polar Ice Large Knee Wrap' I purchased this last year and it is great for taking care of my bad knees.
  • Before you completely dismiss the concerns of the PT, could you at least seek the advice of your doctor? It may be easy to dismiss what she said and go with what a bunch of people on the internet say, but the difference is that she has actually seen you while we only have what you say and the picture you posted. And if you…
  • Actually, you are incorrect. This is a legitimate fear. Some people put on weight to protect themselves emotionally. OP, please see a therapist. You need to understand what is driving your need to retain your weight. Until you overcome that fear or learn to manage it, you will keep hitting the same roadblock in your weight…
  • Trying to work out while you are not getting enough nutrients and are likely dehydrated is definitely not a good idea. The few calories you absorb are better served in helping your body cells fight the infection. I think what you did this time was basically right i.e. focus on staying hydrated, resting and focusing on…

  • If you have not had a physical recently, please do so. It could be that you are out of shape, but it is best to rule out any cardiac issues before you continue.

  • Unfortunately shoulder trouble and impatience do not go well together... What eventually worked for me was getting the cortisone shot and physiotherapy. Took about 6 months but would have been shorter if I went to the doctor earlier and followed his advice better :)
  • I am hoping this url copies over, but you can read the product manual on the fitbit site: http://www.fitbit.com/manual#section=start It is not very detailed but it may help. Also check out the Community section on the Fitbit site and the Fitbit Group here on MFP. Lots of useful information and helpful folks in both places.

  • My goal is still set to 10,000 steps a day, but I am beginning to think I should change it to 12,000 steps in a couple of weeks, particularly if I can maintain the pace I have started this week. 5/1 - 12986 steps 5/2 - 10981 steps 5/3 - 12099 steps
  • 5/1 - 12986 steps 5/2 - 10981 steps
  • Thanks for posting this question. I am also interested in the responses as I had my meniscus trimmed two years ago and cannot do lunges or squats since then.
  • I am in. Got my fitbit ultra a couple of weeks ago and I started really trying to get to 10,000 steps a day this week - so this challenge fits right in! 5/1 - 12986 steps 5/2
  • It appears that I am rather fortunate in that the gym in my neighborhood seems to attract a healthy mix of people - all ages and different sizes. Even then, when I first started going to the gym a few years ago, I remember working out next to this 70+ year woman who was lifting 25lb weights while I was unable to complete…
  • Check your iron levels (not just your blood count) - your body is telling you that it needs more iron. I have recurring bouts of iron deficiency anemia and craving beef, liver, lettuce and ice (weird I know) are usually signs that my iron levels are low.
