  • I started eating to build muscle 4 weeks ago. I started at 1700 calories but have consistently been bumping it up to try and gain. I'm up to 1900 calories per day but still maintaining a weight of 125lbs. I'll bump it again on Monday if I haven't gained an ounce. Which I haven't since I started. It's not easy to find…
  • I'm in week 4 of the LiveFit program and I'm loving it! I don't stick closely to the eating plan. I use it as a guideline and then I make it work with my calories and macros. I weigh 125 pounds but eating 1725 calories a day is maintenance for me. Since I want to add muscle, I've upped my calories to 1850. I aim for 135…

  • I'm a distance runner recovering from an injury. I took up swimming to pass the time while my stress fracture heals. I've experienced the same thing! But for me, it's not exhaustion, it's sleepiness. I've been thinking that its the pool chemicals. But I'm interested to hear what others may think.
  • Couch to 5K is an awesome running program. It has worked for me and so many other that I know. Keep at it. You can do it! And you are right, slimness has nothing to do with cardiovascular fitness. But since you are slim, you may want to think about adding weight training and eating plenty of calories as you progress with…

  • The main thing I would add is - don't worry about pace. Now is not the time to think about speed. Go slowly enough that you enjoy it. That will keep you running for the long run. You can worry about speed later. Other things to consider: Find a running partner. So great to keep eachother accountable and it makes the run…

  • Your diet looks amazing. Great food choices, near perfect on macros. Maybe a bit low on calories. So maybe a bit more of the great foods you are eating. Great job!
  • Have a veggie stuffed omelet (lots of nutritious food for very little calories) after a nice long walk and large glass of water.
  • Just interested to know how you all are measuring your body fat. We have a body fat scale at work and it says my body fat is 18% but I think I'm more like 20%. I bough a cheap set of calipers to see and it says 30%. I'm 5'4" and 120 pounds. But back to the issue at hand, I have been using the scale and if it's consisent,…
  • Thank you times one million! I've always wondered why. You explained it so well. I will release my guilt about not being a breakfast person (thank you all you "fitness experts" with your "most important meal of the day" bull). And I'll never eat it again. Thank you thank you thank you.
