I find that if I can get through 2-3 days of eating pretty well, the insane cravings decrease quite a bit. After a week or two, I'm able to add some of the crap back in, in moderation. Good luck!!

About 1500 on the days I don't run, about 1700 on the days I do.

One thing that confuses me -- I've heard lots of people saying they needed to lose weight and follow a particular diet before the surgery. Some have lost as much as 50 pounds pre-surgery... but the surgery is supposed to be for those who have tried everything and haven't been successful? If one can lose 50 pounds before…

Ack! My worst low ever was when I was pg with my DD. The first trimester of a pg will do insane things to your body, and I had lows in the first trimester with both kids. Fortunately my husband was home that night... I remember getting belligerent and feeling out of it... when I was finally cognizant again, he had made me…

I think having T1 has been the biggest frustration with weight loss. When I'm working out, and wanting to stick to my calorie goals, and then experiencing lows while trying to readjust my basal rates... It *KILLS* me to have to consume those calories! And if you think about it, those ravenous lows make sense. Insulin is a…

I, apparently, can only wear Saucony running shoes. Every time I try another brand it gives me blisters. That being said, go to a running store and get fitted! It's impossible to say what will be a good shoe for *you* because everyone's feet are different.

This is where I am at... I've lost over 60 pounds eating this way. I try to eat well for the most part, I eat a ton of food for my 1400 calories a day, but I still have pizza, or burgers, and birthday cake, and ice cream, etc. Not daily (except for my Klondike bar/Skinny Cow that I have after dinner every night), but…

Whatever you do, don't eat more than 1 a day!

I log the following day each night. I've lost over 60 pounds this way... Planning has been my key to success.

That I can eat the foods I love frequently, and eat a lot of food, and be full. Nothing is off limits -- I can work it all into my calories in moderation. :)

I love skinnytaste.com, too. There's a ton of really good recipes. I've made the carnitas, the cilantro lime rice, Santa Fe chicken, spinach lasagna roll-ups, pasta fagioli, and minestrone (probably more, these are just off the top of my head) and loved them... and so did my non-weight watching husband. Fruits, veggies,…

Type 1 for 24 years (Next month... What an anniversary!). I'm on my third Medtronic pump... having been using one since 2001. I lost 71 pounds, and gained back 15 between Christmas and June. I've lost about 7 of that, so I'm on my way back down. Have a ways to go yet... my goal for now is another 40 pounds.

I'm guessing the first number is your breakdown for the day, and the second number is the ideal breakdown?

90 calories (at least for the chocolate/pb chip). I found the chocolate tasted a little coffee-like, which was kind of weird with the pb chips. Didn't LOVE them, but they did the trick. For a more "real" brownie taste, I prefer the Vitatops.

Right, but... in addition to saying how much (approximate) product there is in the package, they are very specific about how much each serving weighs. I get a big thing of cottage cheese, or meat, or shredded cheese, or carrots, and weigh out each serving. Even my container of cottage cheese, in the nutritional section…
