Lol. No, it didn’t add. It subtracted. I should’ve taken a screen shot. It sorted itself out about a half hour later, but it gave me a good eye roll.

It’s all food.

Love my Dexcom!

A friend got the Charge bc she didn't want all the bells and whistles of the HR. The band was falling apart in a few months. They gave her a credit and she bought the HR because the band is so much nicer.

I bought Cootrees off of Amazon. maybe $23? I rarely have to charge them and they do what I wanted then to do.

She wears a heart rate monitor. Sounded high to me, too, but I've seen the readouts.

Type 1 for 30 years! On a pump for 15, using a CGM. I do log low treatment. It's calories, so imo, it should be logged. I don't beat myself up if I go over those days, though. The less I weigh, my body adjusts as needs less insulin and it usually takes a couple of days to figure out adjustments. It's frustrating, though! I…

I have a friend who is an instructor. She burns between 500-600 a class, but makes a very intense effort.

I've been using it for about 3 months. I love it. It integrates steps with MFP and the HR monitor has been spot on for me.

Therapy helped me a lot with binge eating disorder. I'm 4 months + binge free.

In my experience, no one is worried about what everyone else is doing there. Everyone else seems to be doing the same thing I am... Getting my workout in so I can go about my day.

Eucerin makes a lotion with uric acid. It helps a lot. I always assumed it was genetic. My dad has it, I have it, and my daughter has it.

My husband and I go to the Y. We pay $94 a month, including our kids. We can go to any location (helpful bc he can stop at a different one than our "home" gym on the way home from work), they have a TON of well-maintained equipment that they don't have at other gyms, tons of classes, 2 indoor pools, and an awesome outdoor…

Cardio is like meditation for me. It centers me, clears my mind, and is a huge stress reliever. I'd like to get into strength training at some point, but I need to figure out how to add it in without decreasing the cardio. Be mentally, I need the cardio.

Are cookbooks really selling much anymore? I'm an avid cook but I usually adapt from recipes I either get from friends/family or find online. You may have better luck with a blog.

Does anybody else find they're starving the day before a whoosh? I feel like a bottomless pit the day before. I'm convinced it's my body knowing the whoosh is coming and wanting to maintain homeostasis.

Unfortunately, it's not my first rodeo. I definitely don't undereat and I've successfully lost 75 pounds before (keeping it off... Ugh). Never with an activity tracker though. I'm just trying to figure out why there's such a big discrepancy of upwards of 1000 cal a day between the two devices for the same number of steps.

Eh, yeah. I guess you answered my question. I've been using the charge hr for months, measuring and logging diligently, and not losing anywhere near what my deficit is set too. Bummer. I prefer it to the Garmin.

Are you on insulin? If so, it sounds like you may need to adjust your long-acting dosage. It sounds like you may be unfamiliar with this so I'd suggest calling your dr. Insulin is a growth hormone, making for a vicious weight-gain cycle. The more you eat, the more insulin you need. And the more insulin you use, the more…

I loop it onto a hair tie (a skinny one) and then loop that on my sports bra strap. My car key is so big that it would drive me nuts on my shoe. If it's on my bra under my shirt, I don't even notice it.

I just changed it to "running" and enter the calories my Garmin with hr monitor says I burned.

Nothing. I completely and totally zone out. It's the only time my brain shuts off! Better than therapy.

I'm training for a half marathon. I'm up to about 1 hour 15 minutes right now for my long runs.

This is my go-to! Love this. Not sure about sodium content though with the canned tomatoes.

I'm running my first 5K on Sunday. I injured my calf last weekend, so I've been taking it easy this week. I have been doing lots of stretching and ran 2 miles on Tuesday, did 3 this morning, and will probably do a very light 2 miles tomorrow (running with my 8 year old while my 5 year old rides her bike). I'll take…

I really like www.skinnytaste.com. Lots of the recipes are already in the database here. My family has enjoyed the Sante Fe chicken, carnitas, lasagna roll-ups, and several soups.

I just watched a documentary on Hulu... Nova: Marathon Challenge. They took a group of sedentary people and trained them for 9 months to see if they could complete a marathon. Every single person, with the exception of 1 who had to drop out b/c of an injury, completed it. So I'd think a year would be doable, given the fact…

Weight loss isn't linear. I find that I lose in fits and spurts. I may not lose anything... not an ounce, for 2-3 weeks even though I'm right on plan. If I stick with it, around 3 weeks I'll have a huge drop in one week... like 5-6 pounds, sometimes even more.
-
Great job to all of you who ran your first 5K this weekend! My first is in 2 weeks... I'm so excited!
