i've started cooking my own pinto beans in the crock pot, and adding about 1/2 a cup to my salads. lots of fiber and potassium and no sodium (unless you're adding it!).

thought about the thirst thing too...but i don't think that is culprit. i drink water only, with an occasional cup of milk on cereal or a glass of orange juice. my scale has me at about 66% water, which i understand is pretty decent for a 33 year old guy. again, i don't know how accurate the scale thing can be, but i have…

on a whim, i plugged the linked recipe into MFP's recipe calculator. the results: 930 calories, 54 grams carbs, 65 grams fat, 32 grams protein and 1000 mg sodium, just in the crust, before you even get to the toppings. it looks wonderful, but i think pizza is pizza, no matter how you make it...it just isn't good for you in…

fruit has a lot of fiber in it too, which offsets some of the sugar content, i understand. i eat a lot of fruit...usually a banana, a large apple, an orange or clementine, blueberries, and dates daily. seems to be working out ok for me so far.

sockeye salmon, broiled. 5 oz = 250 cals, 12 grams fat, 30 grams protein.

made these with pb2 and 100% cocoa. pretty good stuff. a serving works out to 150 calories, 8 grams fat, 5 grams protein. unfortunately a serving isn't very big. :( going to try a couple of the other ones listed.
