It gave me the boost to get outta my slump, that's for sure! :)

You are awesome!

"Whatever" and "What's up bra?" (think they mean bro, but keep saying bra...wt#?)

This. If you rule this out, then I would maybe check your posture while running b/c it could very well be your sternum (happens to me if I try to run due to an old foot injury). But please go to the doctor to rule out heart attack!

As silly as it sounds....soda - one 20 oz a day (takes me about 8 hours to drink it) and it takes the cravings away :) ). I plan for it within my allowance, and usually go 3 or 4 days without one now. It's 290 Calories, but I figure that since it takes me up to 8 hours to drink one, that's not too bad :)

I think it has more to do with what they eat. Before I started tracking what I was eating and picked up a few tips from folks about how to eat healthier (i.e. veggies when the pocketbook will let me), I discovered that I can eat really filling things and just barely get to 1300(my goal is 1350). For me, the way I got…

I think the OP is more concerned with winter coming on (if he's anywhere near ND, I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to run in 30 to 40 degree below zero weather...)

Honestly, most folks at the gym don't even notice you. There's really no real "minimum" to not be sneered at because we're all at different points in our journeys :)

I just track it on here under cardio as "strength training"

I do that once in a while, I mainly do it just because I think it's cool how much my body can fluctuate throughout the day and under different conditions :D I especially find it interesting w/ and w/o clothes, before and after eating, before and after a shower (how much does my hair weigh wet kind of thing), and before and…

Goal: 100 - trying anyway :) Went 2.5 miles today - 2 on elliptical at the gym and .5 walking to and from a school to pick up a client :) 10/2 biked 10/3 2 miles (house cleaning and arc t) 10/4 .5 miles 10/5 - 3.5 miles...you'd think in a 16 hour day (2 8 hours back to back) it'd be more... 10/6 - 4 miles 10/7 - 2.5 miles…

In my case, I take potassium supplements to help with it (but not sure if that's also because I have a deficiency - the symptoms are muscle soreness and twitchyness).

I think it depends.... If the parents are large, but are teaching their kids how to eat and exercise in a healthy way - the kids will hopefully not be big. But, what if you end up with a situation like my husband is battling, his mom raised him on fast food, and to get him to eat anything REMOTELY healthy is a fight. So,…

I think my only rant is when someone SITS, not uses, but sits on the only machine that I have left of my strength sets during the entire time I'm doing my strength training - and yes folks do this, and it's infuriating. When I ask them if I can jump in after they've been sitting on the machine (and not using it) for the 15…

For me, it came down to realizing that I'm 3 years younger than my mom was when she found a lump on her breast, and about 5 years younger than when my grandparents discovered they had diabetes. I realized that I hurt as much as my mother who is almost to the point of needing a hip replacement (but too young, according to…

My husband and I are gamers. We play LOTRO, usually log in for about an hour after the gym and dinner.

On the days I miss a workout, I feel anxious. So many times in the past, I have quit upon my first or second missed workout. This is also why I signed a 12 month contract for my gym membership. If I am paying for it, I had better e using it is what I try to hold on to.

I take one potassium supplement daily (3% of daily value for 2000 calorie diet), and 1/2 calcium (1 is 50% of daily value for 2000 calorie diet, and mine is 1200 to 1300). I take the potassium because of a hereditary potassium deficiency, it seems to be working, but I'll be discussing with my Dr in January to make sure I…

I don't plan cheat days...but they tend to happen once in a while, especially on days leading up to overnights at work. On those days I'm up any where from 20 hours to 25 hours straight before going to bed the day of my overnight shifts. I tend to eat about 100 to 400 Calories over my goal on those days, but then on the…

I am currently considered obese. I would recommend talking to your doctor about the hunger thing...I don't think it's normal to be ALWAYS hungry no matter how you are eating...

I had a totally awesome NSV today! While I was riding my mare, my mom mentioned that the saddle went from too big to too small (I've only been working on this for 6 weeks, and no where near my goal!). This was followed up by my mare spooking (she traveled b/w 30 and 40 feet in less than a second), and with this much of a…

I drink regular soda (can't have aspertame), and as long as I stay under my daily goal, I'm steadily losing weight. I can't see that one diet soda would have made that much of a difference for you.

Are you measuring as well? You may be going down, but the number on the scale may not be moving...

It has been about 6 weeks since my husband and I ate out...we used to eat out for at least 1 meal, sometimes 2 a day...we tried to cut the habit several times, but what made the difference was figuring out how many Calories a Frisco burger and bacon cheddar fries were...

I try to go to the gym at least 5 days a week - push for 6. When I go to the gym, I do AT least 30 minutes of cardio. If I'm not pressed for time (i.e. working a double at work with only 1.5 hours in between) I actually do 15 to 20 minutes of strength training before the cardio. Granted, this might be changing around…

I will log it when I work overnights (the first 2 hours of the shift is cleaning the facility), but when I'm home during the day, I don't log it.
