See your doctor. Not normal.

Please tell me how you did it (what motivated you) as I am NOT a morning person either. I don't go into work until noon (work 12 h shifts), and I still can't do/can't get my body to cooperate with morning workouts.

^^^^^THIS^^^^^ I feel like this poster was writing my story. I know that you (the OP) have stated that you have taken your daughter to doctors and counselors, but have you taken your daughter to a cognitive behavioral therapist that specializes in eating disorders? I found this type of therapy very helpful in my weight…

For exercise motivation, Nike is good enough for me ... Just Do It! For life~ I am peaceful and at ease, God and life are good~

Is there anything that makes the headache better? Or do they just go away on their own? It could be from developing low blood sugar from exercising, so having protein before and after exercise might help. As the other posters said, a trip to the doctor may be in order. Hope you figure it out!

No particular order here... 1. My spirituality 2. Snuggling up with my nieces 3. Running to something, not from something 4. The beach 5. My job 6. Putting out the fires, dealing with crises, cleaning up the disaster (see #5) 7. Holding a child's hand and telling them it will be all right 8. Dancing, singing, music 9.…

I wear Saucony's to run in. I like them because they have a very stabilizing heel which is good for my ankles (I invert). What don't I like about them~ well, they could come in a cuter design (yep, girlie, I know) :)

Awesome!

I rock my short hair! And you know what, if a guy does not like me just because my hair is short, then he probably is not worth my valuable time!

I am 5 years out from RnY and maintaining currently after losing approximately 120 pounds. I have always advocated that surgery is a very personal decision. It was right for me, but it may not be right for you or others. I would suggest that you attend a support group/information session of your local bariatric surgeon to…

I think it is important to send a message with a friend request. Sending the message personalizes the friend request and lets me know a little bit about the person that wants to be my "pal". Unlike FB, where I have a bunch of friends, all of whom I personally know, the friends I have on this site, I know not a single one,…

You can do it! One of the main tenets of yoga is to listen to your body and not to go beyond your limits. I will say, however, that as you practice, your limits will change~ for the good! :)

I am 5 years out and have currently maintained my lowest weight after surgery, but I am here on mfp to try to lose some additional weight as I never go down to my personal "goal weight" post-op. Head hunger is the devil :)

Count me in~ I am 5 years out from RnY, maintaining currently, but would like to try to lose another 15 pounds, which is why I am here :)

I agree with MsTaz~ obesityhelp.com is a great website and resource for anyone exploring surgery. I had RnY 5 yrs ago, have lost around 120 lbs, and am maintaining beautifully. I wish I would have done it sooner! However, that said, having surgery is a very personal decision. I encourage folks to do their research,…

After losing approx. 120 lbs, these are the TWO things that stand out for me: 1- Men open and hold doors! 2- Salespeople want to help me buy clothes!

It can take years...I lost 125 lbs 5 years ago, and I am just now really starting to see myself the size that I truly am. Before that I was overweight/obese since I was a young child--that may also play into the persistant body image distortion issues. For the longest time, I could walk past mirrors and not even recognize…

I had gastric bypass at the age of 36 and as an obese person as long as I can remember I wish now that I had been able to do it so much earlier. Being obese is a vicious cycle, trying to exercise, but hurting too much to exercise, so stopping exercising. Having a metabolism that is on the floor. I had also tried every diet…

After losing approx 125 lbs, I too had a distorted body image. When I weighed over 300 lbs I did not see myself as heavy as I was, and when I got down to around 190 I saw myself as way heavier than I was. Sometimes walking past a mirror I would not recognize the person looking back at me. Body image distortion is very…

As someone who will be 5 years out from GBS next month, I totally agree with this advice, the so-called "pouch rules". The pouch works if you work the pouch rules. I have lost 125 pounds since my surgery, gained about 10 back, and then since joining MFP have lost 8 of those 10 back, and hope to lose a few more. Other…
