Whoa! You look like a totally different, and much YOUNGER, person!!!!!!

I am considering bringing pepper spray or mace with me as I venture further from home! Where can you go to buy this stuff, besides online??? Do you think Walmart or Target has it?
-
I'll add you, gladly! :) Always great to have new friends to support and encourage each other. You're gonna love MFP!

OMG, I totally feel this way! I feel like the fat that is on my belly must have gotten mis-routed. No fair. I want to help it find it's way home to my boobies!

I prefer morning workouts...helps me stress less about going over my cals all day. Plus it seems to be more effective in losing weight. Don't ask me why...lol

This is just my personal definition.... Mental fatigue is that voice in my head saying "Hey Amanda! Your legs are getting tired! And just listen, you're huffing and puffing!! You are never going to be able to finish this workout today!" Physical fatigue is when my legs actually feel like jello and there is just no glycogen…

Hey all! I just got back from my last C25K run...it's official, I finished the program! I am so proud of myself! I tried this program once in the past, and gave up in week 3. And here I am now, running 30 minutes or more at a time (yesterday I decided to do a full 5K instead of stopping after 30 min...it took me 43 minutes…

I saw this story yesterday!!! OMG!!! I cannot believe she would put her professionalism at stake just to get back at an ex!! Must have been a nasty breakup for her to resort to this. No matter how big of a jerk this guy was to her, I think this is a BIT extreme...

Best of luck with starting today!! :) You will do great, just stick with it. Some days feel easy, others are tough as hell! But power through. And congrats on quitting smoking. Exercise will do great things for your heart and lungs!! As of this week, I'll be graduating from the program....so I can attest that it is an…

I am so glad I stumbled on this thread. I am going to go look for a spibelt today! Lately I've been running while holding my phone, my ipod shuffle clipped to me, and my key tucked in my shoe (when it wiggles its' way under my foot during my run, it really SUCKS!). Thanks for the suggestions, and thanks to the OP for…

I found my current bf on OkCupid, and he turned out to be the love of my life  I've had tons of mixed experiences on Match, OkCupid, and PoF....my rules were always to speak with them for a week or more before meeting in person (through text AND phone), always meet in daylight in a public place, and to let a friend…

The pic of you with 'Magic for Dummies' is hilarious! :)

I weigh every morning, after I use the bathroom. I do it to keep myself accountable, and I don't freak out unless the number jumps and stays up for more than 3 days. It's mostly water weight differences that you see day-to-day...it's important for us daily-weighers to remember that!

Bellababe - I love your current profile pic! You can REALLY see your progress! :)

I'll be graduating from the program this week, and let me tell ya, Week 5 and 6 were the hardest for me! The 20 minute run is terrifying, but 90% of it is mental. If you did the 12 minute run without feeling like you were dying at the end, you will definitely be able to run 20 minutes. You just have to keep your brain from…

Best: Fitting into my smaller clothes and not having to worry about buying the next size up (again and again). Oh, and other people's kind comments on my weight loss! Worst: Not being able to mindlessly eat like I used to...i.e. planning meticulously how I will choose a meal at a fast food place.

Congrats on starting. I know it's super tough at first. I was there 9 weeks ago, panting after every jog interval. I was the lazy girl who walked the "mile run" in high school. Hated running. With. A. Passion. Fast forward to today, 9 weeks into the C25K program, I just jogged 5K without stopping. It took me over 42…

I would say it was about 5 weeks into the C25K program that I could run a mile without stopping. I believe it was the 20 minute run when I first accomplished a mile, because even now I am only running a 14 minute mile...LOL But the mileage gets easier as you build endurance. I am by no means fast...in fact, I'm a pretty…

This journey is long and hard, and mostly mental. But you're in the right place! If your heart is in this, you can achieve anything! Welcome to MFP! I'm sending a friend request your way!

Wow! This is a great topic. I'm going to add all of you maintenance people, if you don't mind. I have been on maintenance for almost a month now, and I'm up 1.5 lbs or so. I find that since I've upped my cals, I'm hungry MORE often. Go figure. I've also been more lax about my food choices, so I've been eating more empty…

Congrats girl! When I saw the Charm City Run sign in your picture, I realized you must live relatively close to me! I buy my running shoes from Charm City Run and just got on their mailing list for races. I'm definitely a new runner too, and someday soon I hope to finish a 5K as well! :)

I would imagine it's the up-and-down movement of your arms during the jumping jacks! Like others said, tighten it and wear it under your bra...that'll hold it in place! :)
-
Woo hoo! So happy for you! Your time is really good, I hope someday I can get mine under 40:00! LOL
-
Holy cow, you look GREAT! It really makes me want to try insanity. How long did it take you to get from point A to point B? :)

I'm nearing the end of my twenties (I'm 28) but I still act like a 20-something! I hit my goal about 3 weeks ago but it's still a struggle everyday to stay with the good habits. Picking up my former habits will make me gain it alllll back!

I was pretty tomboyish growing up...it wasn't until my 20's that I really started experimenting with makeup and hair styles and stuff! :) I think you should keep your personality, because you are who you are! But if you want to appear more girly, some simple moves are to paint your nails, wear some feminine makeup (I like…

Mexican food. I will always crave my beef and bean burritos with cheese and sour cream...and mexican rice...and margaritas....oh darnit, now I'm hungry for all of the above...:grumble:

That totally melted my heart
