Kinda agree with this!

I've worked in healthcare for a while, and I've undergone surgery myself as well as taking care of patients receiving versed. Honestly, in the case of conscious sedation (fentanyl and versed is generally used for procedures like colonoscopy, etc), the patient is generally out cold the whole time, and doesn't remember even…

I don't have much more to go...maybe 5 lbs. And I have no real goal date in mind. I'm starting strength training so it may take me even longer since I'll be building muscle and eating a bit more. We'll see. I'm more interested in changing my measurements than I am in the number on the scale. :) Feel free to friend me, I am…

I ABSOLUTELY agree. Those poor retail workers should be better compensated for missing fun times with their family. It's a crime to pay them their base right, IMHO.

Not all of us are uneducated/unskilled people...we work in a field that needs our skills to provide crucial services to the public.

I am working 12 hours on Thanksgiving, 12 on Christmas Eve, and 12 on New Years Day. We don't get a choice. People are sick throughout the holidays, and they need nurses to care for them. It sucks, but this is my eighth year of working a part of every holiday. It stinks, but I try to make the best of it with my work…

@Tisonc - If I were single, definitely snog!

Ohh!! I forgot! #3- Take starting pictures! And starting measurements . For weeks when the scale doesn't cooperate, comparing your current pics and measurements with the starting point is SO motivating!

I'm so sorry you are feeling so down on yourself!!!! First of all, you CAN do this! Not only can you achieve a size 20, you can well surpass that. You are young and I'm sure have a lot of energy (and will have even more after you drop a couple sizes). Here are my suggestions: 1) Exercise!! You don't need a gym membership,…

If you're dehydrated, your heart rate will be higher both at rest and even higher during exertion. As long as you aren't feeling lightheaded/dizzy, weak, or having heart palpitations or chest pain, I'd say you're safe. But don't push too hard. I would say a nice walk is fine, but I'd avoid any aerobics or high intensity…

Hell yes, I'm in! However I'm working on Thanksgiving, so I'll be eating the hospital cafeteria's thanksgiving meal on Thursday, and then another dinner on Friday evening! I'm gonna do my best not to stress and to just ENJOY! And I'm not getting on the scale until Monday!

My cravings have decreased since I quit artificial sweeteners also!

Could not agree more! I am a shortie (5'3") and I always have to shop in petites to avoid having to hem my pants. I wish I could buy a pair of pants that go by my waist size, thigh size, and length! LOL

Call me crazy, but I keep fruit by the foot (90 calories) and fiber one brownies (90 calories) in my work locker. That way I have something for both my fruity-sweet cravings as well as my chocolate-sweet cravings! You could also try low calorie ice creams or chocolates (skinny cow has excellent versions of both!!). And…

When I go out to eat anywhere that doesn't have cals listed, I break it down little by little. Salads should be pretty easy to dissect. Lettuce, carrots, tomato, and other veggies have very little cals. It's the cheese, croutons, and dressing that are KILLER. They seriously make a salad worse than a McDonalds cheeseburger…

Wow! Yes, if you could list the amt of ingredients and how much it yields, that would be awesome! This looks SO amazing!
-
Meee! I'm about 125 and 5'3". I'd be happy to lose 5 more lbs and just tone up a bit! Feel free to add me!!

Absolutely! :) Nice dark hair and eyes

That's so great! I'd imagine that's a HUGE NSV for any mom!

A 3 mile power walk outdoors, followed by jazzercise class tonight!

I've been on the cover of a regional nursing magazine, for a work-related project I did.

I'm getting married for the second time and I don't plan to register at all this time. I, too, don't see the purpose of expensive kitchen appliances. I'd rather have money to spend on travel, or furniture, or other various things that you just can't register for...

*BUMP* for any other brides? :)

Having a good sex life takes work. I find that it waxes and wanes...it'll be hot and frequent for a few weeks, and then we get busy (we are both working full time, going to school at night part time, and taking care of his kids on the weekends) and it fades for a few weeks. I think you just have to talk about it and work…

I've heard that abs are made 20% in the gym and 80% in the kitchen. From what I've been told, you have to eat a really clean diet with lots of lean protein to get that coveted flat stomach. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?
-
I'm a hair shy of 5'3" and my ultimate goal is right around 118. I'm 125 right now and I'm satisfied with my body, but I would like my stomach to be a bit flatter and my waist to shrink another inch.
-
You made an AMAZING transformation!!! You look sooooo great now!

What really grinds my gears is when you're driving down the road at the speed limit, and some *kitten* turns out in front of your car, totally cutting you off, and you peek in your rearview mirror and there was NOBODY in sight behind you....so basically the dude cut you off for no good freaking reason, since he could have…

I'm doing the same thing...work full time, grad school at night, and wedding planning. On top of having my future husband's step kids every weekend who basically despite healthy food! Hahaha. Sometimes I feel like I'm screwed. LOL

Meeee! I'm getting married on 4/27/14...so I've got a good while to go...but since I'm close to my ultimate goal, I feel like that's all the more time to fall off the dang wagon again! All brides, feel free to add me! :)
