Whoa, I'm doing this challenge and just found this thread. Not alone anymore!! As of this morning, 23 miles run. We can do this!!

Are you extremely physically active? Being very active can make it go away. I always had them, then I started running 30+ miles/week and now I rarely have them. Personally, I don't complain about it, because my monthly friend wasn't really my friend!! Edited to add: My ob/gyn says this is normal and (for me at least)…

I love this so much  This one too.

When you think it's easier to run up a hill than walk it. True story. I walked up a hill last weekend during my cooldown and my shins were on fire!! This doesn't happen when I run up the same hill.....

First off, congratulations on deciding on running a half!! I ran my first half in May, and I LOVED it. :) This is the training program I used: http://www.halhigdon.com/training/51131/Half-Marathon-Novice-1-Training-Program To answer your questions, I would use the schedule provided at the bottom of the link. They are amazing. Love them! I like that you can pick your times. So if I only have 30 minutes to work out, I can do a 10 minute ab, 10 minute leg, and 10 minute cardio. Mix and match.

Feel free to add me. Still looking to lose about 15 pounds :)

What is the "Road Map"? It sounds like something I need. I trained for my most recent half marathon at 1,350 calories per day and I agree that it didn't seem like enough. But yet I didn't know what to increase it to. How did you decide to eat 1,800 per day? Just curious :)

Feel free to add me! There are plenty of gyms where I live, but I also try to live on a budget (gyms membership NOT in our budget). I use a great site called fitnessblender.com. There are hundreds of workouts, check it out :) And if nothing else, there's always youtube. Good luck! :)

This. I struggled and struggled with giving up Pepsi. I try not to drink as much soda, but when I do, it's Diet Coke or Pepsi Max. It still has the same amount of caffeine, just no calories. I would agree that it's best to give it up completely, but when those cravings hit (and oh boy they will) it's best to have low…
