Made my goal this month! Finally. Feeling stronger! and my job schedule should be good in the fall to keep it up. :drinker:

I am going for 120 in June. I hope to do more.

Not a race but - 37+ miles this week so far, may go later on for another few miles to get to 40. Highest since Oct 2013. I think it is possible to bounce back! YAY. Oh and I got 2nd in age group on a 10K Saturday, finish stretch at 7:01 pace. Total time not as impressive ha ha but feeling I am getting back in shape.

April did not go as planned, but I am going to pick up in May! I am hoping for 100 miles this month, but hopefully I will do more.
-
I'm in!!! I will do 100+ this month, hoping for more. Last month traveling hit me hard, BUT this month it will be less  so hopefully I'll make it this time.

Nice to see progress on the spreadsheet. Two PRs this month, a 5K PR in the 23s, and then a 10K in the low 50s. Caught a cold, and I am not getting better! UGH. Still running since it is upper respiratory, but it is a bit of a challenge. I am lowering my mileage to 125 so my goal doesn't look too unreachable  Doing…

I re-started running at 47 (ran mid distance track 800s, 1500s in my 20s (in college)), and a few of road races for run). I will be 50 in a few months, and I feel I am fitter now, even though I am slower  . Hoping to beat my 5K college age PR, not sure if it is possible or not, but I am still trying!!! :smokin: I love…

Hey everyone!! Hope everyone is doing well, and had a happy valentine's day!! Sorry about the cruches Mel, and glad to see you running Leanz! Did two halfs this weekend, did the first slow, so I would have energy left for the 2nd one, and I scored a 2nd place in my age group (that I will leave soon he he). The course was…

Wow, and the other people in the Gym have no idea!

106 for this month, had hoped for more. I need to deal better with snow/and cold. [I grew up in the snow (Sweden) so I have no excuse really, BUT better than December though so an improvement at least. Hoping everyone is doing well! :flowerforyou:

I agree with the people who said to check iron levels. Fatigue is a symptom of an iron deficiency... And having TOM amplifies it further (you'll need extra iron then). It is easily fixed by adding iron rich foods to your diet (e.g., spinach, raisins, prunes, liver, red meats, eggs, lentils).

I don't do much stretching myself, and I agree that cold stretching is risky. I am with Carson, usually I warm up with slow running, then speed up to a run. Rolling works for me though, and the stick/and tiger tail works well for me, larger girth foam rollers are a bit cumbersome to use (for me).

Just checked the race out! and it THAT is a challenge for sure! :glasses: .trails (nice!), and the (8,000 ft?) elevation gain, looks to be in the neighborhood of Pikes (7,800 ft gain going up) peak (if I read that right) very impressive. Excellent! Looking forward to see your training progress  I am interested…

That is a huge PR! and you broke the 2 hrs barrier! Congrats!

Congrats on the Disney Result!!! - I was also there, and did the Goofy. The half was too hot for me as well, but I enjoyed the full.

I am thinking about trying to qualify this summer, have a full scheduled 6/14 and I may do the run4troops on 6/28. The second race is trails, and it looks like it got good reviews. The two races will be my birthday present to myself since I am entering a new age group!!! I am not signing up for the 2nd until I finish the…

@all thanks! i was conservative, and did not push the half marathon. @dave hope your 20 mile trail run went well! 20 miles on the trail sounds challenging! @MelisRunning - OUCH so sorry, and it sounds so painful. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. @Cheval13 glad to see you are back on the horse! and recovering.
-
Congrats!!! that is a great time!
-
Yes I agree, that is an impossible goal for me
-
Ouch! Sorry about your hamstring. Glad you got a PT. Healing vibes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> for a speedy recover. Goofy is a two day challenge, half marathon on Saturday, and full marathon on Sunday, both at Disney. The marathon goes through at Epcot, then the Magic Kingdom, then the Animal Kingdom, then Hollywood Studios, and then…
