Great suggestions, watched all parts and it is awesome! :)

Yea I agree with Carson, the title was misleading, at first. I signed up for Pike's full year, but had opt out due to my poor Achilles that would not agree with the uphill training. I would like to do it some day, but it looks like it will be unlikely. Have fun! While, I have done a half and full back to back, it surely…

I like all of them <3 well up to a marathon, not further on that (yet!). I almost said 15K but that is just because that is the latest distance that I am happy with the outcome.

.. and kristine and tomzoot too :)
-
.. and Carriender on you great Boston time!
-
congrats, litsy! amazing time!! T2bf great half marathon time, Curt! whoooo, great time by its own (not accounting for the heat), and Eva great half YAY!!

Sorry I see that you mentioned hand on house, already (like in the title ha ha)... I searched of the Bird in Hand half ..
-
Looks like a beautiful race, I checked it out! While looking I also found the Hands on House Half Marathon that also have beautiful scenery, perhaps look into that one? The decicion depends on your preferences, if you want big marathons, crowd support lots of people go for the GorTex Philly one, or if want smaller town but…

Happened to me a while back but it went away. It was not the shoes in my case, still use the same type of shoes. Not sure what it was, but it was annoying, and I was worried.

trails are better for my bones, and I recover quicker from trail than road (even if trails are typically more 'rolling'), so I would go for it.

My "achilles heal" is my weak left Achilles, suffering from [chronic] tendinosis. It started when I sprinted up a hill, and after that re-injuring it. It is my "migration injury" (see tufel definition) :( . I also have osteoarthritis in both my feet ... but keeping active slows it down, and ironically it is motivating me…

Not from the UK either, but ran my first half in 2012, a month before my 48th B-day, and today I have run 38 half marathons, and 3 full (first full at age 49). I have not properly trained for a full yet (too low mileage) but will change that for my 4th (and 5th) this year! Hoping to continue running for a long time!
-
Congrats!!!! I would think that is a good margin, there is a BQ cutoff predictor using times from large 'already' run marathons that feed into Boston. Currently they predict the cutoff to be 48 seconds. http://boston-qualifier-stats.blogspot.com/

I have Boston and the NY marathon on my bucket list. Just signed up for the NY, and I nope to get a guaranteed entry slot. I enjoyed the Disney marathon, but I think it was not enough water and fuel stations, and St. George marathon was totally amazing! They even had massage stations, it was like being at a spa but at a…

Hey Sarah, the groups are so difficult to (navigate)/use now, so Dave posted the link on his time line. It is right here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkmK3myW0PepdDcwX19raWNXSE13azhaa1JmTmE5aFE&usp=sharing#gid=1 I feel lucky too, it motivates me to see everyone's progress, hopefully he will continue ...

I surprisingly did better than 2013 at 1,126. 2013 was 1005, and 2012 928, neither super high. Very happy, especially considering that the 1,126 is with low low mileage in April, November, and December (with only 9.6 miles). I had some weird nerve/hip issuen @ end of the year that scared the heck out of me but now seems…

* BQ. * 22s in a 5K. * 1,800 miles. (2,000 is my "A" goal). * sub 1:45 half. * half iron man. (2016 full iron). :D

I am in, will need to do an easy mileage goal. due to some lingering problems ... Thanks for doing this challenge again Dave, it is so motivating.
-
I agree on being annoyed with garmin connect! It is bugging me as well! ON the app front: I believe endomondo counts your (best) split time as PRs (5K, 10K and more). Strava might too. OT: I do count best "split time" as my PR, it is more due to keeping track of all my data in a humongous spreadsheet, where I have all my…

ouch, about having to wear to boot so sorry. Will not beat my goal and it is early in the Months, ugh. Had a setback this week, but will run finally this Friday. Hit a deer (feeling worse about the deer), got stung by a wasp and my foot swelled so bad I had to wear flip flops (and I hate wearing these), so painful, and…

Good luck wombat on your 1st marathon! So exiting!
-
Doing a trail 10 Miler. I will do it slower, b/c still sore from last week's marathon.
-
Trying for 125 again, need (and hoping for) more, but traveling.
-
Did not meet my goal, the marathon last weekend made me so sore, so I felt I needed extra recovery days. Guess I am paying for not being properly trained (not enough mileage or long runs), still really enjoyed it - no death march at the end, just being really slow. My strategy was to run it as a long run. And I passed…

Wow that is AWESOME! Congrats! :D

Congrats! and my running math is terrible too, and I got a degree in math ha ha. I need to start slow for my next one. sounds fun to pass people instead being passed. You did awesome.
