My favorite is dates, pecans, and just a touch of maple syrup.

There's not much that I dislike, but I HATE sesame oil...both the smell and the taste. I can't even be in the same room while someone is cooking with it, it stinks so bad. Walking through the mall food courts is almost enough to make me gag.

M half is in 3 weeks...I thought the headaches were from the heat, but it's only about 60 here today and I still have a headache, which is bringing me to the conclusion that it must be food. I carry a 20 oz water bottle with me and finish about half of it during a run, then drink a LOT after, as I'm hugely thirsty. When I…

Do you think a short run would hurt - I could always stop and walk if it starts to hurt? I hate being still...buggggggsssss me...

I don't remember the weight I crossed, but I remember that it seems like the sizes changed much faster the smaller I got. It seems like it took forever to go from a 22 to an 18, but really not long at all to go from a 12 to an 8. I think it all varies a lot by manufacturer.

Eating lunch now - deli roast beef sandwich on multi-grain bread with a sliced tomato from the farmer's market. Dinner will be spicy chili shrimp, brocolli, and a spinach salad. I'm low on protein for the day, so dessert will likely be a chobani greek yogurt...

I'm using the iphone half marathon trainer app this time - I just flew by the seat of my pants last time.

I do the 30 day shred, but not every day. Also, I do level 1 and 2 and occasionally add in level 3 b/c I don't think 20 minutes is a long enough workout. That said, when I first started, I thought I was going to die trying to complete level 1, so I've come a long way...I usually do it 2-3 times per week. If I do it more…

As far as advice for first timers...I got MAJOR blisters on my first one. I had been getting them during training, but I got the double layer blister block socks and vaselined my feent and thought I'd be OK...I wasn't. The last 3 miles were very painful and greatly slowed my time. Turns out, I needed different shoes. I'm…

I aske dmy MD about this and he explained it with something about body size going down by a factor of 3, while the skin only goes down by a factor of 2 or something along those lines...anyway, it's normal to feel cold with weight loss. It's currently 95 degrees in Kenducky and I'm FINALLY warm!

I have a snack almost every evening after dinner. Often fruit, sometimes a greek yogurt or a light string cheese...if I'm having a sweet fit, sometimes a sugar free fudgecicle (only 35 calories) or a sugar free jello with some fat free reddi whip (only 15 calories). As long as it fits in my calories, I eat whatever I…

I work nights 7 on, 7 off...I count midnight to midnight and don't eat extra on my first day off, when I'm up for 26 plus hours...I still stay under 1350. Usually 200 cal snack about 1 am, 200-300 cal meal at 3 am and about 9-10 am, 200 cal snack at about 1 pm, dinner with the family, then a small bedtime snack, then sleep…

I agree with the previous poster about the spicy pineapple shrimp with spinach...I haven't noticed my sodium being over when I eat there...I try to keep a pretty close eye on it...I was pretty impressed with the amoun of food for less than 400 calories on that dish - I guess you can eat a lot when it is shrimp and spinach!…

Stick with it - it will come. I think it took me 16-17 weeks to finish the 12 week C25K program, but I did it and now can run 10 plus miles with no problem. I am 5'4" - even now I pace at about 12 minutes a mile on long runs. If I'm only doing 5K I can go faster, but long runs require a slower, more "paced" pace. The…

We eat out Monday evenings and eat at my in-laws on Sunday evenings - other than that, all meals at home. Tracking the restaurant food is not bad b/c we choose restaurants that post nutrition info (Applebees - yay!), but I always just guess at my MIL's meal.

I use it instead of butter or shortening in cookies (not that I make cookie often anymore)...it tastes great! It also is good if you use it to pop popcorn - it isn't as low calorie as air popped, but once you salt the popcorn, it has a nice sweet-salty flavor, almost like kettle corn.

I do have days when I don't watch it, but it does slow my weight loss. I don't track while on vacation (a couple of times a year) or occasionally on other special days. As long as you can get right back on the bandwagon the next day, it won't stop your loss, just slow it down a bit - I don't think weekly "cheat days" are…

I've lost 87 pounds - I still have a few to go to make my goal of 95 - that's almost 100. If I can do it, you can too. I hasn't been fast - I started trying to lose weight 16 months ago - but it has been worth it. I am so much stronger - physically and mentally - now. I can do ANYTHING and so can you!

You;ll hear a lot on here about eating your exercise calories and a lot about not eating them... I have found that if I eat them all, I don't lose weight, but it just took experimentation to find that. Do you use a heart rate monitor for your calorie burn or just the numbers on the machine? If you use the numbers on the…

I started this journey 14 months ago at 222 pounds. I have lost 84 pounds and still have just about 8 to go. I can't blame the weight on my babies, as they are 9 and 12 now. It just took the motivation to do it. I feel better, I have more energy for my family, my husband has also dropped weight, my whole family goes on…

Congrats..I couldn't do it...anything below 50 degrees sends me indoors to the treadmill...

I work 7 on, 7 off...the day that I'm up is the day I come off...I don't want to sleep all day or I won't sleep that night, so I get up for work at about 6 pm the day before, work all night, then do my grocery shopping, go home and change, go to the gym, pick up the kids from school and start dinner and usually go to bed…

My favorite is a vidalia onion and summer tomato dressing...it is usually only available in specialty stores, but I recently found it on Amazon. It is only 25 calories per serving and the primary ingredient is tomatoes...delish!!! It is a bit sweet, though (but I like that).

I got pregnant with an IUD in - when they took it out, there was about a 50/50 chance of aborting the baby with it, but it had to be done...Thankfully, everything was fine (he's 9 years old now) and I use NuvaRing - have for several years and LOVE it!

These are some great ideas...there are a few on here that my family might actually touch...I live in a house of carnivours and it will be difficult to satisfy them this week...They also don't like any casseroles or foods that are all mixed up...like pasta with sauce, enchiladas, etc. They will eat Pizza, though (I guess…

Chili is a great idea! My family doesn't really care much for pasta, so I don't think the lasagne weould go over well...They might eat the potato soup...

Some magazine recently...fitness???rachel ray??? I can't remember which one...did a test using staffers - 1 male and 1 female. both did well for the first few days, but then were ravenously hungry and ended up overeating. If I remember correctly, the male didn't lose any weight, and the female lost a couple of pounds, but…

I'm not an expert by any means, but if my workout leaves me REALLY sore, I"ll take 1 day and just walk a few miles - it's easy on the muscles, but still gets some cardio in, even if it's light cardio.
