Avocados have a ton of potassium, so do dried apricots and veggies. I also use Morton's Salt Substitute, which is made from Potassium Chloride (instead of Sodium Chloride) Good luck! Stephanie http://collegecookingandironchefamerica.blogspot.com/

Your body needs a minimum amount of calories to function, so I think it'd be better to try and net within 100 calories of where MFP has put you. Slow and steady wins the race -- GOOD LUCK! http://collegecookingandironchefamerica.blogspot.com/

I've heard this in several fitness magazines.... and I know what you mean, I definitely got smaller :ohwell: http://collegecookingandironchefamerica.blogspot.com/

Confidently wearing a BIKINI!

I've heard that rinsing canned beans, tuna, and veggies reduces the sodium, but I've never heard anythign about boiling.... I mean I'm sure scientifically there's probably some osmosis happening, but I don't know how significant it is.

Take the average of the two, and add 50 calories. That's what I did and it's really been working for me

It's all about netting calories, not just eating calories. When I first logged on MFP, I went to see a nutritionist in order to determine how much I should be eating. While there are some on this website who will disagree, I go along with her advice, and it has helped me quite a bit. She said, in order to lose weight, you…

Also -- I don't know if you've got the brand "Ocean Market" in your local supermarket, but they do individual wrapped 4 oz. portions of fish. I let it thaw in my frige, throw on some salt substitute and pepper, sauteed in a skillet -- the portions are perfect, it's just a few minutes on each side and chock-full of protein

I'm a college student too, and I find that roasting veggies in my oven is easy, low calorie, and I can spend the time cooking studying, instead of slaving over the stove. **Obviously this is a side dish recipe. You're going to need a protein and a carb as well. I take a cake pan, spray it with a little Pam, and throw in…

Light popcorn, carrots and hummus, and lots of tea!

Look under the "Tools" bar, and check out your BMR. Try eating that number and see if it helps

It sounds like you live a very very busy life. Perhaps one option is to break up your workouts? Or create short ten minute "routines" that you could do quickly? 3 sets of standing squats, crunches, and leg lifts in the morning when you get up, then maybe ten minutes of cardio dancing along to the radio as you're getting…

I'm having MUCH more success eating at my BMR of 1650, than I was at 1450 (which is where MFP put me) Good luck!

I plan on really stepping up my exercise during the holidays to keep from slipping.

My friend Kathryn. She's brilliant. We're gonna be just fine

I just use my HRM and plug in each session on it's own. It's tedious, but I know it's exact, and that gives me peace of mind
-
Concentrate on your breathing when the going gets rough. That always helped me.

Talk to a doctor. See if he/she agrees with you netting 900 calories a day. Spoiler alert: they're not gonna.
